I don't agree with the statement the clear springs and clear winters can wear a wider range of colors because they are not overpowered by them. Dark brown skinned to deep dark brown skinned women don't like very bright and light colors, most of them feel it's too loud on them. Most of them I've run into anyway.
@@victoriataylor5584 Clear Seasons can wear more colours with out getting overpowered, but not everyone in the same season had the exact same features.
While it’s true that bold colours are out of the comfort zone of a lot of people, having a preference that will affect what they normally wear.
But if they truly don’t look good in brighter colours then they are not a bright season

I always thought I was a dark winter because Black People and People Of Colour tend to get lumped in this one season historically but now understanding my undertone, I realise I am a dark autumn and the colours that look best on me and I receive the most compliments for fit this type. Will look out for dark autumn video but will watch all your season type videos. ☺️

Yes! I actually started investigating color system methods and how they worked when I got typed as a Winter in a styling class, but I my skin looks extremely yellow, so I feel like I was getting it wrong, but in reality it was that not a single color system focused on dark skinned people.
I also want to add for people of colour too. I'm Indian and the amount of pity I get for being darker is so sad. These videos are so empowering and give me a sense of relief.

Completed watching the video and I really enjoyed it. Not sure about where I exactly fall but I don't seem to have any problem with any of the colors in clothing but it is a concern when it come to lipsticks. Thanks for sharing and blessing to you and all in the days to come.

Maybe you could go back to the undertone video, and see the lipstick draping exercise.
If you look better in warm lipsticks you are warm, and if you look better in cool lipsticks you are cool.
You after you narrow down the temperature, look for chroma and contrast.
See if you look better in:
- Muted and not too contrasting colors (soft)
- Muted and dark colors (dark)
- Saturated and dark colors (dark)
- Saturated and bright colors (clear)
This was super helpful. I used to think I was a winter, but now I think I’m a clear spring.
Wow, as a clear cool, this tracks. I got rid of the warm browns in my wardrobe last year because they make me look blah. I just don’t like the idea that bright colors are unsophisticated. My citron (pale version of neon yellow) pencil skirt works well with navy, teal, and gray.
Whoever said bright colors are unsophisticated definitely didn't know how to use them correctly.
They look amazing! And color blocking will look stunning on Clear types.

Absolutely love this video! I have to say though, I'm a dark cool and I wouldn't say bright yellow and orange are the worst colours for me. They're certainly not my best, but I can still pull them off and there are other colours that are much much worse on me...I'd say softer oranges and yellows, like sorbet colours or lemon are much much worse or something like pistachio or lime green.

The very interesting thing about dark types is that their color tolerance changes when they are muted or when they are saturated. So your worst colors might change.

How do I know if I’m a clear spring or dark autumn? I keep getting stuck in between them. I’m a warm neutral with dark features.
@Cocoa Styling - For Dark Skin Women Have you thought about making videos on black people with Olive undertones? It's so hard to find elaborate information on olive undertones expecially on black people anywhere :(

Yes, it's very hard to find content and products when you have olive skin, especially if you are also dark.
A key thing that might help you with the olive tones is that if you have a warm olive skin tone, you might look slightly green and for cool olive skin tones, you might look slightly grey. This means that they both look muted, and they have a low saturation/chroma level. You could narrow your season to basically a Soft type or a Dark type, depending on how much contrast you need.
It would be great to make videos about olive skin tones, but I would need photo submissions.

Both clear and dark have high contrast levels and I'm not sure which category I fall into. Could you explain how to tell the difference? (I'm lightskin with hair that looks medium/dark brown in winter and medium/light brown sometimes almost dark reddish blonde in summer)

What do you do when you’re neutral? My face, in cool seasons, is more neutral and pinky yellow than my body which is more yellow. In summer, however, I can tan very deeply. Help! 🥺

The light skin chart you showed is Fair ppl (ppl who are Albino) what about the light skin people such as Tisha Campbell, India Love, Hazel Goddess, Dymond Goods, Lela Rochon, Aaliyah, (influencer) Dani Elanie, Jordyn Woods w/o tan, Keyshia Cole's w/o tan, Lisa Raye, Keyshia Ka'oir, Flo Jo, Bianca Lawson, rapper Saweetie, & Jasmine Sanders? I am light skin black woman I will like to know what season I fall under too. I am not saying put light skin in most of your videos or styling. I understand the main demographic is brown or darker skin women. I respect that but some of us having challenges finding color analysis on us too. One color analysis said I am Bright Warm. My intensity is bright and skin undertones is warm. Makeup artists say my skin undertones is neutral warm lending yellow Golden. According to professional hair colorists, my hair is dark brown dominant w some medium brown in neutral undertone looking like ash brown. My eyebrows are dark soft black. My eye color is light-medium Amber brown that looks like eagle or owl eyes when it hits the sun. In Fenty foundation I am like 310 and in Nars Soft Matte Foundation I am Valencia Medium 5. I am not attacking you. My apologies, I sincerely like your channel and pls don't take it wrong. I will continue to support.
