From Disney's Secrets to Lifetime Ban: Inside Abandoned River Country

- Disney's River Country was the very first water park at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. It was located by Bay Lake and near Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. The park had a cool rustic vibe, like an old-fashioned swimming hole. It opened on June 20, 1976, but unfortunately, it closed indefinitely on November 2, 2001. Then, on January 20, 2005, The Walt Disney Company announced that it would remain closed forever. It's actually the second Disney park to close permanently, with Discovery Island closing earlier in 1999. They had plans to build a new hotel called Reflections - A Disney Lakeside Lodge on the old River Country site, but construction got halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. And just recently, on March 15, 2022, Disney announced that they canceled the hotel to make room for new DVC villas at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. It's quite the rollercoaster of events, huh? 🎢

Sadly I tried to explore this one twice and got caught the second time, they banned me from everything Disney for life
Thank you for sharing. I find the abandoned explorations endlessly fascinating. I'm sorry you got banned, but Disney sucks, so I'm not surprised. They don't want anyone exposing their dirty little secrets. Much love and many prayers for you and yours. Stay safe out there. ❤
Being closed for 4 years mother nature definitely has taken over the entire place

You shouldn’t have risked it. There were better videos, and now you’re banned and they probably will not undo it like they did with Adam the Woo
Filmed this 7 years ago
It’s completely demolished these days
🫡Do you have the lifetime ban?
