@@optimisticvibe8357 well if you’re doing a bunch of woodworking, specifically cabinet based stuff a table saw does a lot for you. There’s a reason it’s often referred to as the work horse of the shop.
@@TheCartoons4you obviously the size of the cabinet is the main variable in the cost, but you’ll need a sheet of 3/4” plywood for the cabinet carcass, poplar or maple for the face frame, maple for the doors, 1/4” panel for the back of the cabinet and 1/4” mdf for the floating panel in the doors. Depending on pricing for that material in your area you’d be in the $200 +\- range for a 24”x24”x36” cabinet. You could definitely get it cheaper by getting less quality materials, but if you want it to last a long time the better materials are your best bet.
@ probably be able to do it for a little less because you’ll have left over pieces you’ll be able to use on the 1/4” panels and the maple and poplar. But in very rough terms $700-$1000. There are a lot of variables, but if you’re going with the high materials. Then in that range.
@@crafted_in_florida sweet, what would you recommend for trying to save? We are actually thinking of moving within 5years so don't really need the most expensive cabinets tbh.
It depends on the use. If it’s kitchen cabinets, those are high traffic cabinets so you would want to go cheap with the materials. If it’s an office or entertainment center or something you could use the poplar for the face frames which is cheaper. I don’t like using particle board personally, but it is a cheaper option for the carcass. All depends on use of the cabinets.
