I'm sure I misuse this tool more than use it properly however over time I have found #meshmachine to be immensely useful for geometric correction. In a way it inspires some of my current approaches due to its value of what matters and variability for what doesn't. Let's go over what it offers in this focused overview on a favorite of mine.

Really interesting take and presented well
I’ve had mesh machine for a while now. Probably only used it twice, compared to using Hardops everyday in almost every model. It’d be cool if you could do more mesh machine + hardops stuff

My very first video from you in my youtube feed and go in expecting to expand my horizon about meshmachine but come out with an existential crisis. Nah I'm just kidding, very informative :) I dug a ditch for years too. Never again.
In order to select edge loops that are broken, you can use MeshMachine. You Click one edge in edge select mode, then alt-click the next edge in the loop you want. MeshMachine then tries to select the entire loop regardless of Ngons, tris etc.
its often in the way more than it assists me. But i still try to calibrate to it. Old habits die hard!
Is there a way to use mesh machine but keep the 1,2,3 hotkeys for the different edit modes, instead of pressing tab to bring the pie menu? Thank you!
they dont interfere with mine. Sounds like machinetools instead of meshmachine

@ 2:00 why don't you use MeshMachines edge loop select? Y > Lselect. It works well in this situation.

Yes and no, it's not a Cad software but with addons and workarounds it's possible.

MESHMachine 0.7.2 - Can't find Offset Cut, only Offset. Did you use something else to enable such an option?
Found an answer - have to enable Experimental Features in addon settings.

@masterxeon1001 I'm sorry dude but I just started watching your topology series (LOVE IT) and I don't know how to do that edge protection macro you are doing. It's not working for me while I try to follow along.

Ctrl + B bevels with the hotkey of P for profile in tool and 2 segments to space edges out protecting the perimeter.
Bevel can also be adjusted post operation in the F9 panel. Just change the shape parameter to 1.

@@masterxeon1001 Roger that, thanks so much for the reply! I tried that and its not working. I think the problem is I'm traveling and I'm working on my old MacbookPro, I've got 2.93 installed and the latest plugins but hotkeys are not the same...
Love mesh machine I find I never really learned the flow though
when it clicks for you. You'll love it. Its everything a modeller needs for those tough situations.
This explains pretty much everything conceptually. Especially the part where he is reversing the whole thing.

Why dot just model in a nrubs program?
those options have their own problems. I leave those options for users to explore. In the end it would be converted to mesh anyways.

Those books were fun. If only they were true. It was great for Carlos to get LOTS of chicks to sleep with him, (so maybe Don Juan?), but only for him. He even had female body guards and made up his own martial art.
It was funny as hell to watch them do stuff... it looked like modern dance, you know the dancing that looks like ppl are on crack or heroin. The everyone gets a trophy lack of skill you wonder why they do this in front of you or in public kinda stuff where Art critics try to make you feel bad when you cry out, "What is this shite!?"
