Thanks to John and to you for updating this video, cause I have this exact weed eater and my bump feature never works. Now I know it's cause I'm loading my line completely wrong! Cause I also tossed my manual. 🤦🏽♀️ Thanks!
@@OhGodMuffins I have the same problem with manuals. I’m really bad at tossing them out or just misplacing them. Glad the to hear the video helped you out.
My gf asked me how to do hers and I have her a little grief for buying this brand, instead of a Stihl or Husky, I am going to her house to try to do hers this afternoon. Hers is battery operated, so everything I was finding were NOT like this, but hers seems to be like the gas one you have here. This looks super easy and better than my Husky!! Lol Glad you took the time to make this video brother!
I bought one and my boss re spooled it totally different than the way it is done in this video. The video makes so much more sense and is a lot easier than the way he showed me. Thanks
I have to say thanks! I did have my original instructions, and they were very unhelpful. I could not get the spool reassembled. I came across this video, and it was together in five minutes. I wasted an hour before that. The original instructions actually say not to unassemble the head but instead fish the line through the assembled head with the nob set to the load position and then wind it up. I wish it was that easy, but it got stuck, and I had to unassemble it anyway.
Good for you you are a true gentleman just wanted to let you know was on the struggle bus with mine this afternoon noon came across this video 🎉 thanks you.
Thanks so much brother, you saved my life and my brand new hyper tough weed eater.🤣 I threw my manual away to, and almost went ham on my weed eater, and that ain’t no joke😳🤣👍🏼
I bought mine at Walmart last summer at Walmart. And with my dyslexic mind, you would have laughed all over yourself at me when I tried to re-trim mine today. And then when I started it, then only one side would come out when I tapped it on the ground. lol. That was as funny as a screen door in a submarine. lol. Anyway, I'm glad you did this second video. I know where I went wrong, and I'm on my way out the door to the back to correct my dyslexic mistake. LOL. Dr. Keith W. Kirby D.D.
I got really lucky and caught them on sale. The one I put together seems to work good. The last time I used it was a friend of mines house and ran three tanks of fuel back to back trimming and it didn’t miss a beat.
Dude, I threw away the box, instructions, etc... however, Perfect instructions, I Also, did it myself 1st, and wasn't right at all... but now, after listening to this, 3 minutes and done! Gotta go now, it's 104" heat index! Peace out ✌ T~
For being a cheaper made trimmer we’ve had pretty good luck so far. When we take them out to my boss’s house they it takes about two full tanks in each one to do all the trimming. That’s only stopping long enough to fill the tank up. Second season on them. Pretty sure one is about ready for a new plug though. Thanks for watching.
Thank you for making this video. Every time I learn something like this I think "It's so easy- why couldn't I figure this out myself???" but I always need my hand held the first time doing something.
My son uses the one in the video almost everyday. He primes it a few times then he chokes the crap out of it until it acts like its going to start then he goes half way on the choke and it fires up. Sounds like a lot but he has it running in 4-6 pulls.
You know what I suggest that if you're a believer in Christ don't try to go it alone you better read the manual your spiritual manuals call the Bible if you want to make it home 😇❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏

Thinking about buying this brand. Thanks for the demo. Is that a Weedeater brand featherlite I see there? Is it straight or curved? Mine just died after years use. I sure miss it. Please reply. Thank you
I’ve had pretty good luck with the Featherlite trimmers. I have both curved and straight shaft. These Walmart brand trimmers are basically the same thing. They run pretty good and are not really that heavy.
@@GenerationX1971 Thank you for replying. Is the curved shaft a single or dual line ? I have a dual line and I am not a fan. If yours is a single line, would you want to sell it? I sure do miss mine. I have a lot to trim. Thank you Again
@@sherryleeperdue9576 pretty sure the one I have left is a dual head straight shaft. I give them away in the neighborhood to the teens to go out and cut lawns so they can make some money. Helps keep them out of trouble.
@@GenerationX1971 Thank you. I sure would love to get my hands on a curved shaft. The straight is too long for me. I sure appreciate you for replying. And, that's a great thing you are doing for those boys in your neighborhood. Keep it up, sir. Have a good evening.
Yep what a piece of engineering crap.... never will I own this, just thought I'd help a friend out,. Nothing is simpler to use, load, than an Echo. Thanks for the update on reloading this .. it's almost like a 4hundred head but hard to put the head back on to the housing.
I have to agree it seems like a cheaply built trimmer. I used it a couple times last year at home and once at a friends house that has yard that takes about 45 min worth of trimmer work. I ran it pretty hard at his house just to see the outcome. It held up. Biggest downer for me is the trimmer head design and the 2 piece shaft design. Seems to be ok for small yards. Running wise it didn’t miss a beat. One of Walmarts finest I guess. It’s definitely not worth regular price.
If you came here looking how to spoil a Hyper Tough weed eater, skip to 3:45 and save yourself three minutes and forty five seconds of meaningless talking.
We had good luck with ours. I’ve noticed over time dealing with people that it’s like other things and comes down to personal preference. Some people just prefer a certain brand.
On one of ours had an issue with the spring that kept it from letting the string spool out. Possible the spool head itself is bad. I would just go back through the loading process and double check the way it’s loaded just to make sure it’s correct. If it looks good and you’re still having the same problem you can get a replacement head at Walmart but you might find it cheaper online. Hope that helps.
