Awesome elements and pacing, this looks even better than New Texas Giant! I like how you explain each element and how you made everything work with the old support structure, great video!
NTAG blew everyone’s mind when pictures of the over banks came out. No one could believe the lack of support. It’s unbelievable how much RMC has changed the coaster industry in the last 10 years. Who will bring the next chapter of innovation?
Definitely seems very much like something crazy old man Alan would design, and a fun ride at that; bonus points for actually knowing what a wave turn is, which a surprising amount of people don't seem to..(also imagine actually using fvd 🤪)
I'm not kidding you...I had this idea and built it in Planet Coaster 3 weeks ago...was really proud of it...yours blows mine out of the water. A+ work!
This was absolutely amazing. I couldn't imagine what it would be like actually riding it, but also I like where the New Texas Giant stands, as it being practically the first RMC. NTG is also the only RMC I have ever been on and I dream of riding Steel Vengeance. I've been to Cedar Point before but SV was added just a year after my last visit
That is a great layout. I always thought New Texas Giant, and Steel Vengeance had a very similar shaped layout. I think it's interesting to see what New Texas Giant would be if it was redesigned. Good Job!
@@iliketrains3546 not full replications but one went left and the other went right in a twister layout. Major coaster publications say it too. Mean Streak was nearly unrideable in its final season though. Texas Giant wasn’t. Rough sure but still fun.
Regarding your statement at the beginning of the video, one roller coaster knocks steel vengeance out of the top spot on my list of 400+ coasters. The airtime and forces on this ride are mind-blowing, while also having incredible theming. This coaster is the legendary Daddy Pig Coaster at Peppa Pig Land, Florida. SteVe is a close 2nd though.

I'm putting together the first FVD tutorial covering the basics of Force sections and then I will do geometric sections in one of the videos after that.
Great video great job on the coaster bit I kinda like the coaster how it is right now more because it's like a mix between regular coaster design and rmc design
Great video and great layout. The one part that you changed that I wish was still in the layout is the drop perpendicular to the break run as that is a moment that gives amazing and unexpected airtime. To other than that I love the layout and the changes that you would have made. Great video
I can see this happening when NTG eventually reaches the end of its lifespan. It would be like RMCing an RMC, but would definitely work using the same structure
Great layout! I think that you could've turned the last inversion into some kind of stall for some variety, also the roll feels a little to tight even for RMC standards.
For the next coaster to RMC do you think you could do what it would be like for wildcat at Lake Compounce to get the treatment because I hear that one is a really rough ride
0:11 is it just... not possible for someone's number one to actually not be Steel Vengeance? There's definitely good reasons a lot of people don't have it as their number one; it gets absurdly repetitive after it dives into the structure. Aside from that, good layout. I have to ask though, why do you use geometric sections over force sections in FVD?
First of all, it was a joke making fun of people who actually think that steve is the only right #1 coaster. I use geometric because it captures the feel of an RMC better than a force section does.
I made something like this on NL2 a while ago some of the elements are exact your building is smoother tho but I don’t use another software I just hand built for fun
Im sad you left out the Iconic tunnels with hand chopper and ejector airtime out on the run back to the final brake run... Im still pleased with this design though!
I WISH this was the layout . I finally got a ride on it a couple years back . First half good , last half was pretty slow and boring . I miss the old Texas giant . Well the way it was those first few years . In the end it was rough af and trimmed to a crawl .
Id love one day to see NTG get RMC'd again as its not the best RMC at all and has potential. Also they can call it the 1st ibox conversion of an Ibox conversion
Idk why but this ride is like a mix of SteVe and LRod in the way that it is very similar to SteVe but more aggressive. Especially that double down, it looks like there is now space to come back to ur seat from the first hill before the second, plus the small turn in between the hills would make the whole thing feeel so much more chaotic!
Nah maverick better than SteVe, SteVe isn’t intense, doesn’t have a launch, doesn’t have snappy transitions and just doesn’t fly through the layout like maverick
You know, I wouldn't put it past Six Flags to have RMC go back and redo some of their earlier Iron Horse work as a way to add a "new coaster." I mean, that was the original appeal of the I-box concept for Six Flags anyway. And while RMCs are generally the best coaster in their respective parks, I could easily see Six Flags viewing a new RMC upgrade as another relatively inexpensive way to draw attention. I doubt it would happen within the next five years or even decade but I wouldn't put it past them at some point. Now if only they'd have Vekoma come through and do a similar thing with old Vekomas (and maybe a few Arrows) by redoing the track and also adding new elements. Think The Great Nor'Easter but with adding updated Vekoma elements.

As someone who has SFOT as their home park, this is something I think about frequently
Either way I think New Texas Giant has near flawless pacing and incredible airtime for what it is and I love the ride.
