  • Candied Yams | Yam Recipe | Holiday Recipes - Here's yet another version of Candied Yams for the holidays. This easy to follow video recipe is a household favorite and tradition.
    Candied Yams Ingredients
    6 - 8 medium sized Yams
    1 cup Dark Brown Sugar
    1 cup Granulated White Sugar
    8 tbsp Salted Butter
    1/2 tsp Ground Nutmeg
    1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
    1/4 tsp Ground Cloves
    1/4 tsp Ground Ginger
    1 tbsp Vanilla Extract

    I got 90% of my recipes for thanksgiving from AB 😭 if I get married after this one I’m nicknaming the baby AB. Update 😂 no engagement but we moved in together and are in the process of buying a house. No baby because , no ring=no baby. Using the recipes again this year ♥️ trust me ladies, it’s the key 🔑

    Stab each yam slice three or four times with a fork and the sugar and spices will get real cozy in your yams.

    Grandpa AND Grandma(RIP '97) they BOTH cooked, used maple syrup instead of white sugar, with plenty of cinnamon.

    Super easy! I used to boil my sweet potatoes first, but you have sold me on this one. Old school, my family called them candied sweet potatoes, lol.

    AB those yams look good! I was taught to clean them then boil till almost soft, put in cold water til cool, cut them up then add spices put in oven. From this point on I'm doing it your way it's quicker and easier. Thanks for another quick an easy way to cook!

      15 minutes to render out the liquid, then 30 minutes or so.

    I just made this and the flavor is spot on. Definitely not too sweet and the blend of spices was epic. I mixed all the dry ingredients in a large bowl to evenly incorporate the spices. I removed the sweet potatoes when done from the baking dish. There's a lot of liquid so I put the dish back in the oven to reduce and thicken the liquid. Soooo good. Great recipe especially since all the work is done in the oven. You rock bro.

    I made a 13 x 9 dish of this for Thanksgiving dinner yesterday, and didn't bring any home. Everyone loved it. The combo of spices was delicious! My go to recipe from now on!
