Couple tips that might help mount some cheep computer fans blowing down from your rafters above the holes banked good enough it keeps the holes open also just get an electric auger yes redrilling isn't for some but you can get redrilling setup as gas. The reverse alone pays for it self in time by not having to clean the hole. I haven't touched my mixgas since 2004 and my electric with out reverse for 5 years. Still have the gas incase I go on a multiple heavy hole day chasing crappies. But the electric Ion was a game changer drill, reverse kick shavings down clean, and fish and that quick. Also 12 volt computer fans works for me and cheep and allaround evens the heat out less fule.
Thank you for the comment and tips! I will definitely look into an electric one for this year. Great idea to use computer fans, never head if that before. Cheers and fish on!
@@philg only reason I can recommend the fans is I gave my buddy a bunch of shit on hanging the fans he is zero computer parts so I was confused how he had and installed them anyway the holes stayed open all weekend -10 lake of the woods trip.
@@philg will 100% agree on the fans, you may need/want to add a resistor on them to slow them down a bit though, shoving a fully charged battery through them can make them loud from time to time. But that air movement from the ceiling will definitely help the temperature, and if placed well can also help keep holes open.
Thank you! Because it’s fresh water on the surface and salt water at the bottom, there are tons of species: red fish, cod, turbot, even a shark species in the waters!
I lived in Northern Wisconsin back in the day and never saw a deisel stove.
Very well if you find one you can try one out
Would it not save fuel and heat the shack up quicker (stop heat going straight to the roof) if you put another ceiling on those lower rafters?
