Hardwood flooring FROM SCRATCH- Recap in 2.5 minutes!

Hardwood flooring from scratch! Recap in under 3 minutes!
Earlier in the year, I received several rough sawn cherry boards. As with so many things related to woodworking, I wanted to know what the process entailed and I built the flooring from the slab up.
For the longer, narrated video, (dropping in February 2025!) I will describe the thinking behind each part of the assembly. For this video, here are a few details:
Insulation- Halo - 1.5” graphite polystyrene (GPS). This accomplished the following:
-Lower impact flooring
-Raises the flooring above the concrete in the event of water in the room
-Keeps the floor warmer year round
Subfloor- 2 layers of 0.75” (each) AdvanTech Subfloor cross laminated and glued (polyurethane) and screwed together. This creates a very solid subfloor, raises the wood higher above the concrete, and better distributes the forces across the foam underlayment. Matt Risinger of the Build Show network has demonstrated this ( • Slab-On-Grade INSULATE... ). He has some great videos illustrating superior details of all things building and has showed some great craftsman, architects, and builders from around the world.
Tile- Rialto Beige (from Lowes) 16 x 16 above a decoupling membrane (protects from cracking AND raises the tile to the height of the finished tile) and grouted with epoxy grout
Wood- Cherry 3 1/4” wide
Tools- Bostitch BTFP12569 2-in-1
Fasteners- 2” cleats
Wood filler- GoodFilla cherry trowel ready filler (goodfilla.com)
Finish- I applied a 50 / 50 mixture of pure tung oil and citrus solvent from Real Milk Paint www.realmilkpaint.com This is a nontoxic finish that is easy to apply, easy to touch up, deepens the natural colors.
