Your drivers are clearly VERY tuned-into that slick drivebase, not to mention that shot with an actual rocket. Well done, 118, can't wait to see you guys
Ok but do you guys get the experience of working on ur bot with ur team in ur basement till 2:30am on school nights bonding over the fear that ur untested robot won’t work while you are all hella sleep deprived
@@neonspartan7407 idk I wouldn't say most teams have facilities like this... most teams that are shown more and seen more on UA-cam, sure. That's probably because they get more views, and people think more teams are like this when they're actually not.
I can't believe its been 2 years since this came out. 2 years ago I had one more FRC season to go, and now I'm already going into my second year in college.
I see another person is here to admire this beautiful machine. Yeah I was a highschool freshman in 1019 and this robot is still my favorite ive seen so far.
@@12uWaterPolo Actually, thinking about it, this is probably more efficient too. You don't have extra motors dedicated to the mechanism. You can also instantly put power into turning/drive/strafe without waiting for the swerve modules to turn. Downside is that you can't use 100% of your motor power unless you're going diagonal.
@@hootyhoo5922 Think about last year, even if we know what 254's robot looked like right after the build season, there was nothing we couldve done to beat them. That 4/3 cube auton had already won them the world championship.

Get this. 2 years ago at champs I got to speak with Justin Ridley a little bit. He told me not to tell anyone but I'll tell anyways. Basically, there are about 100 cameras lined up side by side, all recording at once. Imagine them all in a line. Basically, the final footage is about 1/5th of a second from each successive camera, down the line.
@@michaelsanchez7594 Ah, I figured that was how they did it, and the clips are stitched together. I must say I'm quite amazed that the camera count is that high, I initially thought that the number of cameras was
Nice camera shots, could you please enlighten me on the specs of the cameras, ISO, aperture, and lighting for your cameras and if there are onboard stabilizers?

The drive mechanism on the climber is a really great solution to a timing problem (the gears engaging when the climber is fully extended)
Now this is what I like to see.

the h drive is more than a little hot
Right?! Almost as nimble as 2910's awesome swerve drive but way more compact and a lot less complicated.

One word: Clean.
Best robot of the season imo
At the remix today (I’m on 1477) the cowbells were honestly hilarious.
This does put a smile on my face
Time to copy that ground pickup and attach it in the 6 hours
Good Luck from 948!

Another year, and definitely not disappointed.

its not there
They lost a few weeks of the season because of the government shutdown. there was a shortage in nasa engineers
Tom wish my team had some NASA engineers
Very nice Robonauts, we hope to see you in competition.
Looks like Opportunity is back
I wasn't looking at the robot... I was staring at the winner banners on the top on the walls

Could you stop impressing me more each year?
I really wonder what 254 has in mind...
Defiantly some version of 1678s: buddy climber(s), WCD, intake that works on the front and back
Wish they posted reveals!
Edwin Mendija i think they dont post reveals because the earlier you reveal your robot, the earlier people will think of strategies to beat you
254 is probably gonna have a crazy autonomous for Sandstorm Period that does a Hatch and Cargo.

Anyone know how they got the shot at 0:53? Whatever they did with their camera there it was sick
Hey guys, nice build, I'm from team 7021
At 1:50 how did you guys know that the hatch didn’t stick and that you had to move slightly before retrying?
Daniel Kassab likely an onboard vision system
Lucas Belknap if they were using a vision system, wouldn’t it align them correctly the first time
Not a semi auto, but just a camera. You can view it at the driver station and adjust then.
But the semi auto vision is not 100% effective.
1:13 are those people touring jsc in the background???
Awesome
Y'all should have use the Tokyo drift song
