I would have just ended it what the monster reveal scene where HUD is eaten and the camera goes out of signal in it’s mouth while Rob and Beth’s fates remain ambiguous
This movie shows that this creature was just a baby, confused and didn't understand what was going on once it emerged on land after being awoke on the depths of the sea and at the same time looking for it's mother by making sounds and noises, then shortly getting itself in combat against tiny humans and machines it can't comprehend for what they are. The landscape must be so confusing and terrifying for the creature that it encounters, such as the buildings, bridges, etc. Even though it did destroy the statue of liberty and a oil tanker at the beginning, it was merely only confused and didn't understand, same goes with every living creature/human that would be asleep for thousands of years for example and suddenly awake to a new world that does not look like the old world you once knew in the past.
Robin F I think the monsters come from a dimension of their own and the baby was teleported to 2008 and the mother was transported to 2028 and the mothers parasites that come off it are massive
Epic Moments the parasites that came off Clover were similar size to dogs, so I wouldn't be surprised if the mother's parasites would be similar size to Clover.

Me too. I haven't watched the other movies mainly because they got rid of that. Just gave me Blair Witch vibes when they switched for to regular cinematography for the second movie.
This movie was very well received. Just a bunch of older viewers at the time weren’t prepared for the style. Critics liked it, and younger people liked it
We probably won’t get a first person camera movie for a long time. Every person I’ve come across that has seen this (and other classics) complain about nausea, blurry camera, unfocused camera on the action and etc.. It aggravates me how rare it is to find someone who likes found footage for what it is…..footage captured usually by a person who wouldn’t have the steadiest of hands during stressful situations.
fam he just took off and was heading to the mainland, you expect the helicopter to start heading oer the Atlantic to London so they can evacuate civies?
The helicopter free falling or crashing was the scariest part. It was so realistic. Must feel horrifying for those in real life helicopter/plane crashes.
The real movie logic is that all choppers and other aircraft have to fly so low... I mean choppers have a flight ceiling of 2km. But they are flying at around 100m...
The military scenes in this movie actually made me fall in love with this movie. I knew things were desperate when they brought out the B2 stealth bombers. And the scene following the heli crash where the air raid sirens were going off really nailed that desperate feeling.
When I watched this scene the first time, I was super confused. Why would Clover, with all the armament being thrown at him from the ground, attack the little huey? Now I realized that none of the scenes in the movie showed any type of aerial attack, which lead to me thinking that the Air Force might have not launched any aircraft. Clover, now knowing about aerial attacks, might've mistaken the little huey for the B-2. Also just for comparison for Cloverfield Paradox Clover, look at how close the clouds are with the B-2.
@blood Bonnie the bunny 543 he is asking why the monster attacked the helicopter and he says it's maybe because the monster thinks that the helicopter dropped the bombs
A game like this would be awesome, you take on the p.o.v of a soldier and fight along side with allies (online allies) and you get a call from different parts of the world where different and unique giant alien creatures are destroying the city, choose which mission and where, customize your soldier and take down the creature together while holding the American, Britain, Canadian , and Mexican flag(Depending which part of the world you are in, but if your in the U.S they would first hold their flag up first and then the other three) as you march toward these creatures(The destruction would look incredible on Xbox one and ps4) That would be cool, what is your opinion?
Why is everyone mocking the use of the B-2 stealth bomber? The USAF's bomber squadron closest to New York is the B-2's 13th squadron "Grim Reaper" at Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri. Of course they will send the stealth bomber. Other bomber squadrons are located further out across the Dakota's, Louisiana, and Texas.

1) The guy talking is the most annoying man alive.
2) The military wouldnt use a heli with civilians being evacuated to do BDA.

@@Evelyn-pl3we It's 2020 please dont bring this upon ourselves
His reactions (as well as a Majority of the reactions in the movie) are pretty realistic though, considering what they're going through, at this point, I'm pretty sure Hud, while still caring about filming it, doesn't care about people watching it
It's hard to say exactly how the military would react under those circumstances. I don't think it's covered in the manual.

I'm still into this movie, it's awesome. But I just realized something. They can kill Godzilla but not this thing. :L
***** the clover monster is still my favorite. When they killed godzilla the u.s army had everything under controll. But in this movie, their army is scattered all over NY.
***** zilla godzilla blah blah blah blah
The clover monster died when it got hit by the moab at the end. The director confirmed this.
***** there is static at the end saying "its still alive the monster" so yep
the military eventually killed it. There were some pictures online of some body parts on a beach and the director said it was the monster.
Buds pure terror and Clover is one of the reasons this movie is like one of the best found footage movies
I know this movie didn't have the best reception when it was released but I really wish more filmmakers would try out the first person thing again. I just loved how unique this movie was.
Chopper pilot: "guess I gotta fly near the monster and watch the fireworks closely."

The Cloverfield Monster's roar at (0:33) was used for the Hydra Dragon's roar in the movie: 'Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief.'
Its 2020 and this is still my favorite movie aside Jurassic Park.
The monster's roar and the fact on how fast he pro aches the helicopter gives me chills down my spine
I regret not seeing this movie in theaters, cause that would've been the ultimate experience...
Monster logic: " There are tonnes of buildings around for me to destroy..... I'll just take out this helicopter"
I think it thought that the helicopter hurt it.
buildings don't make noise... the helicopter moves and makes noise, it obviously caught his attention ...
The real movie logic is that all choppers and other aircraft have to fly so low... I mean choppers have a flight ceiling of 2km. But they are flying at around 100m...
The real logic is that the comment has proved about it then another comment the newest one still believes the commenter (TJed)
Most realistic thing ever:
Just fly there at the near of that monster
I mean are they evacuating or is it a wild life safari tourist flight?
They were pretty far away from it. Pretty unexpected of it to have that long of a reach for your helicopter.
There's a single frame of King Kong at the end of the clip, mixed in with all the glitchiness.
I saw it.
Sure bud

@Alex_The_Editor( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
+Mr. Story Teller Hmmm well if it was a cloverfield game id prefer it to be a horror game but it sounds cool
