Hi Rachel, appreciate all your videos. But can you please tackle co op programs. Or any experiences after their co op program, what did they do? Extend their student permit or did they back home? Or apply for work permit. Thank you for noticing this! 😊
Hi, I know a person who came to Canada to do his/her (being deliberate here about the gender) co-op program although he/she never studied at any Canadian university or college. After the 1 or 1.5 yr program was over, the company liked the person enough that the person was hired and got the PR within 6 months. Hi mam can you cover about 1+1 program. Ex. will apply +1 program who is already inside canada studying the 1st program, what are the process and requirements Thank you
That’s a very good question. ☺️ I found this answers from the IRCC Website: “DLIs that lose their designation Applicants whose DLI loses its designation status before the completion of their program may transfer to another program or remain at the institution that has lost its designation status to complete their program of study. These applicants may be eligible for a post-graduation work permit, provided they meet all other program requirements and have continued to meet the conditions of their study permit (for example, be enrolled and actively pursuing studies).” So you have 2 options: complete your program ensuring you followed all conditions or Transfer out to a DLI to be eligible for a PGWP 👍☺️ Link here: www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/temporary-residents/study-permits/post-graduation-work-permit-program/institutions.html

It says that students are ineligible for a post graduate work permit if they have completed English as a second language program or degree. But is a Bachelor of Arts in English ineligible or eligible for a PGWP?? I wanna study B.A in English but now I'm confused. Can anyone confirm?
That is a pretty tricky question but there’s a difference between the two: ESL is primarily helping you improve your proficiency in English to use for everyday applications in an English-speaking country whereas the Bachelor degree in English is an undergraduate degree course You’re eligible for a PGWP for the latter option but not for the former one.
hey Rachel, i have a question..if you took a two year diploma and then you go home every school break(summer break to be exact)..will it jeopardize your pgwp application? follow up..will it jeopardize your PR application also?
Hi Rachel! I have a question, do you know if for a PGD in the USask is the same thing? it is not a Bachelors, Masters or a PhD but in the DLI list the Usask offers PGWP eligible programmes and there is NOT a detail section that mentions ONLY certain programmes are eligible for this type of WP. Does this mean a PGD in the USask would be eligible??
Hi! Is there a restriction if I have a co op in my study Program? This Program has 2 semesters of classes and the 3rd one is a Co op, am I still eligible for a PGWP? thank you!! 😊
And how can I know if the program qualify to PGWP? I mean, even the college or university have de Yes in the DLI list, could be possible that any program of the college can not be qualify to get a PGWP? Sorry my english, but I'm trying and learning haha
Even if a school is a DLI, that school may have some programs that are not PGWP eligible. If you need assistance with finding the right one, you can book an appointment with me for an education assessment at canxvisa.com
Hi, thank you for this information that you are sharing to your viewers. This is very helpful. Can I also ask, for the case study that you shared, after the student got her PGWP refused, can she re-apply for a new study permit instead and continue with another program from a DLI school that offers PGWP, so she can stay in Canada? What other options she can do after PGWP refusal to stay in Canada?
Hi, very good question! I appreciate that. It’s possible for her to apply for a new study permit that is a DLI and offers PGWP. Afterwards, she can apply for the PGWP. There are several options for her to stay in Canada afterwards. Perhaps a visitor but she cannot work. Perhaps another study permit but that entails extra cost. Or perhaps get a closed work permit but that’s employer-dependent. Hope that answers your question ☺️🥰

From a private institution? Most likely not. But if it’s from a public school, then it may. But the best way to know is to ask the school directly for the programs eligible for a PGWP ☺️💕
Hi, I would like to ask some questions regarding this program that they are offering me this course Personal Support Worker which takes one year program in Confederal College. And they promised 100% guaranteed employer and 100% PR status after 2-3 years. Please advise if this program is really lead to PR status in the future because as far as I know, it must be a two-year course to have this PGWP be given by institution.

Hi Ian. What your next plan? Is this a Coop School just asking as this is the same program I am planning to apply due to cheaper tuition fees. Thank you
Yes! TRANSFER OUT IMMEDIATELY and see if you can get some credits transferred to the new DLI school that is PGWP-eligible. If you need assistance or further clarification, shoot me a message on IG! I’m glad you noticed quite early, you just dodged a bullet!!! 😩👍
You may still be eligible for a PGWP if you meet all the requirements. Learn more by clicking on the link below www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/work/after-graduation/eligibility.html
All public schools should be eligible for a PGWP since they are government funded. However, it’s best to check on the IRCC website for the updated list. I have linked it in the description box for easy access ☺️💕
I got only one year work permit even though I studied two one year programs. My passport expires in 2026 as well. Why CIC is unfair for my decision? Pleas help out. Hi Rachel!! I have a question. Hope you can offer some insights & directions. I intend to apply for a PhD in Education at the University of Toronto. I found the Scarborough & Mississauga campus on the DLI list, but the OISE (Ontario Institute for Studies in Education) that I want to apply to seems to be in the St George campus which is not on the DLI list. Does this mean OISE UofT is not a DLI & won't allow PGWP although it is part of the University of Toronto? Please help me with this if you can. Many thanks :-)

What happens if the institution lose the DLI status after the student commenced study
That’s a very good question. ☺️
I found this answers from the IRCC Website:
“DLIs that lose their designation
Applicants whose DLI loses its designation status before the completion of their program may transfer to another program or remain at the institution that has lost its designation status to complete their program of study. These applicants may be eligible for a post-graduation work permit, provided they meet all other program requirements and have continued to meet the conditions of their study permit (for example, be enrolled and actively pursuing studies).”
So you have 2 options: complete your program ensuring you followed all conditions or Transfer out to a DLI to be eligible for a PGWP 👍☺️

Hi Rachel. Just curious.....the student that you were talking about, how is he/she now? Did he/she just applied for another type of work permit besides PGWP?
what course you study in canada
Hi Rachel, I just wanted to ask if I enroll 1 yr program and I change my mind to add 1 more yr to study is it allowed?
Yes that’s very possible ☺️

Thank you for this information, this is very informative. Is studying psychology considered a skilled job for PR long term?
It depends on the job you get afterwards. But there are plenty of occupations from studying Psychology that can lead to a skilled job. If you have a particular role in mind, you can check if it’s skilled using this tool:
www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/eligibility/find-national-occupation-code.html
Hope that helps! 🧡
@@rrdancel thank you so much, I’ll definitely check that website out.
Hi Rachel, I trust you are doing well. Please I am trying to study a personal support worker in one of the colleges even though they offer pgwp but it is a year program. Please do you have any advice for me. I plan to work after school and get my pr. Thank you and please be safe
Hi thanks for great information. When we should apply for pgwp.
Best to apply as soon as you get your marks and completion letter. At least while waiting, you can work full time 👍
hey so I got my study permit for 4 years as my degree is for 4 years, but im on my 3rd year and I changed some elements of my programme to make it a 3 year bachelor degree, will this affect my PWGP?
What do you mean changed some elements? Did you fast track your education?
@@rrdancel basically my programme was a bachelors degree of 4 years but im currently on my 3rd year and had to drop some courses so i switched to a 3rd year programme. (Which is the same programme but not honours programme)
I mean i switched to a 3 year programme, so i wont have to take the required 4th year courses and can get my degree after finishing my required credits for 3rd year,
Booth is not on the list anymore. im not indian but if im correct booth means ghost in hindi. Explains why it isnt there anymore. 😜
I just checked and typed in Booth University College in the DLI list under Manitoba. It’s still showing up 😅
But AHAHAHAH I love the word play! Now I know 😜
yayyyyyy! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼❤️❤️❤️
Woohooo 💕🤗💕🤗💕🤗 happy to see you here!!
@@rrdancel always👏🏻👏🏻
Hi Rachel this question has nothing to do with the video but I asked a while ago and didn’t get a respond how long did it take for you to receive your visitor record when you applied ?
The first one took Approximately 3 months, the 2nd one took 5 months and the last is still pending 😂 from 4 months ago too... it takes an awful while but I remained in Canada due to implied status. Hope this answers your question! ☺️
rrdancel Thank you 😊 so helpful
Thanks
You’re very welcome!
I am currently in Toronto and have unknowingly enrolled myself in a 2-year diploma program from a private institution that does not offer a PGWP program. I have only recently arrived here and started my classes this March. I intend to stay and work here in Canada for the long run, do you have any advice for me? Thank you! Your videos are informative.

maam bsta po b goverment funded institution ay legit meron pgwp
All public schools should be eligible for a PGWP since they are government funded. However, it’s best to check on the IRCC website for the updated list. I have linked it in the description box for easy access ☺️💕
@@rrdancel thnkyou more power godbelss
You’re very welcome po! ☺️
You look like one of my classmates the voice and hair face but she's not on canada
I guess you have a pretty good looking classmate 😜😂😂
I got only one year work permit even though I studied two one year programs. My passport expires in 2026 as well. Why CIC is unfair for my decision? Pleas help out. I should be granted at least 16 months work permit. It is unfair. I didn't have any study gap as well. I thought I would be given three year work permit.. but when I saw my online CIC account. Results of my application was terrifying and shocking . Why CIC did it to me ??

Yehey! ☺️
Lo fi is on point
Thank you thank you 😋 finally someone noticed haha!
Hello Rachel! May I know what is the difference between studying in private and public school that both offers PGWP? Thank you! Stay safe!

May God bless you in Jesus name AMEN.
IF you aren't saved and want to know about GOD and his mighty power to free you from everything please let me know.
I found you randomly and thought "this woman is very smart and very strong" you have a bright future ahead of you. Please keep on keeping on.
Jeremiah 29:11. Have a great day and remember SMILE.
Early bird!!! hahaha
