No, It's a replica kit, not meant for sailing RC & I wouldn't risk converting it with all the detail work involved. I think it would easily float. It's double planked with marble paste between the layers & 3 coats of marine varnish on the exterior planking so far. I considered it, but just want to have a replica that I built myself of a schooner that I am fond of.
I might have to spend a lot more on a proper case than I did on the kit - $120.oo CDN/ 1980's @ hobby show.
    Thx for your interest.

Nice job on everything including your drill bits. I also did the same thing but also used cut Guitar strings for drill bits for fine holes.

I have made a sailing model that has the same sail plan as a Newfoundland schooner . Although mine is all white . It has radio control for the rudder and a winch that controls all the sail sheets at once . I have found it's fastest point of sailing is on a run . But with the wind on the beam , it looks best .

you need a pin vise and a set of pin drill bits...if you live in the States and have a Hobby Lobby nearby, they sell them for about 10 bucks.

Nice work. I will buy the Bluenose 11 as I like the look of the props and both models have that beautiful schooner shape. Just finished the Scottish Maid. Is this an Arteasania Latina Kit? Great work. What country are you from?
