@@kellybrown6988 I guess what AC means is that nobody really throws his name around like they do McGrath, Stewart, Carmichael, Bailey blah blah. He was damn good.
Haha ploughing your bike in to your team mate is something else lol. Good old days. How good was Art Eckman’s voice tho. Commentary has never been as good since he left the sport.
This was my favorite era in motocross and supercross! Mike keidrowski was my favorite rider. Larraco was a close second, and Larry Ward dated my friends older sister. He gave her his underwear at washougal after the race! Lol won’t mention any names in respect. This era was real men racing MX. nowadays it’s kids on dirt bikes that are super fast.
I’ll never forget that season. When Keidrowski came home with that broken finger he was so bummed. I remember going by his house and seeing him with his hand all wrapped up because of that finger. But it didn’t stop him! We’d be rolling down Soledad on our way to a party somewhere and there on the side of the road we would see Mike running, big ass cast on his hand and arm but the guy was a machine! He trained like crazy! He had a track in the hills off Vasquez Cyn that we used to ride. One day we rolled up on our bikes and this was when Mike was on 80’s and it was just him and his dad out there riding. Mike finished his moto, and he came over to talk to us. His dad filled his bike up full of gas and told him you got another tank of gas to burn up before we can go home and it’s starting to get dark so you better get on it. Mike was super cool and humble, in high school he was pretty quiet and if you didn’t follow motocross you didn’t know who he was. We all knew how fast he was cause we followed his career and we’re good friends with him. I moved around quite a bit after high school but would always follow his racing career and see him at Supercross when I could make the races. But at our 20 year reunion we had a blast, it was the old “gang” back together again. All of us at one table having a blast talking about the good old days and Mikes career racing. I have a great picture of me and Mike from that night. I still see him every year at A-1 and we catch up with each other. He is still a great friend to this day. Can’t wait to see him this Jan at A-1 and get the gang back together again. I’m still sure he isn’t to happy with Loracco today about that move. But we don’t talk about that. lol
That era was peak MX in my opinion. Love re-watching that old footage.
Mike Kiedrowski is criminally underrated!
He was national champion tho! And des nations champ too.

Kiedrowski is so overlooked. Awesome rider in both MX and SX
Kiedrowski is one of the best ever!!! People need to recognize
A very short period between the retirement of Rick Johnson and the advent of McGrath,a good time when the championship was chaotic.
8:18 is my favorite part. That is 100% who wants it more racing. I rewatched probably 15 times
I was watching live when the infamous retaliation happened. MX has never been this good since. Truly the golden age.
