Here in Western US desert, the kx500 worked very well for me over the years. The power valve makes for a linear powerband. The cr500 is a bit more refined and turns better but not as stable as the kx. Of course the yz500 is more modern and should shred the track better.
The KX found it's greatest success in America out west, in the Desert. Cracking video Max! That guy can ride...on the stock springs too! He'd be a lot quicker with dialled in suspension, which the KX and CR probably did have!
You can see just how comfortable the KX is out there. It looks as if he's riding a big comfy couch around the track. Very plush and extremely stable. The Honda appears to be less stable and requires more concentration to ride. The powerband seems to be a bit less broad than the KX. The YZ appears to be the most nimble of the three with an incredibly broad powerband and balanced suspension. Of all of these bikes I think I'd rather have the KX because of it's rider friendly handling and plush suspension.
The suspension is just a setting. The Yamaha by far has the best suspension, as it’s 20+ years newer and way more modern. I don’t want a comfy bike, if I want comfy I’ll stay in bed 😂
@@midwesthoons8876 It's important to me that I feel comfortable on a bike. Something I have confidence in and the KX looks to be very stable and predictable which is what best suits me.
