@@marvinjgerald6007 thank you. We at Shortline Bus had on loan, two 2020 MCIs. Management returned them after one month. Doesn't pay to get new buses. 10 buses have been sold, fleet is thinning. Passenger counts way down, transportation has been decimated.

forget wearing seatbelts in a bus. They were mandated by the government, which is why the bus manufacturers were forced to put them in. See you have real life, and then you have government life. Most collisions that occur in a bus happens below the passengers feet, which eliminates any injury to the passenger. What the seatbelts might be good for is in the event of the bus flipping over. Which happens 79 times each day. In the bus lane, I see every other bus flipped over on it's side. See how rediculous this sounds? ( 13 year Coach USA motor coach operator)
That was awesome, thank you!
The 2017 series goes up to 17240, 17186-17240 to Lakeland. Highest number in 2019 series is 19182 (182 buses).
Cool man , 16001
All the features are updated new model buses is more convenient 😉🚌
Buses are a great thing!
Let's all have a disco party in this bus
But first, NJ Transit has to bring back the disco stripes.
a lot of nj transit drivers like the hybrids others don't
The prevos the Mta uses have such loud door locks. These sound quieter.
57 comfortable seats, the same ones as on NJT's Multi-Level railcars
Thanks :)
Nice bus
I would love to see how these destination signs are set up on NJT buses. I’ve done it on a MTA C40LF unit once.
How many miles on that bus?
phsycopiano this bus has around 300k now. Its a demo bus.
Damn it will be retirement ready according to the way FTA has it
Can you show how to change the destination sign plz
Wow, this bus is almost one year old...
You still driving with NJT?
Yeah
can you doo some audio recording and video about NJ Transit routes that serve Atlantic City and Wildwood please?
Elijah Johnson ill think about it, i dont venture down that way unless i do the 319 to Wildwood. Its just to far for me to do on my day off.
Elijah Johnson i can do ac though
Where's the farebox for use on this bus?
NJT doesn't use fareboxes on all MCI buses; it's full service like Greyhound, you get a ticket and drivers give out change
But at Port Authority Bus Terminal, you have to buy tickets at the TVM or at a ticket window on every route that originates at PABT
Why cant the 190 ,161 165 have the New mci buses
Bj Brown wayne garage will be getting 19000s soon, in about a month or 2. You wont see these in oradell garage no time soon.
When does Trans-Bridge get these?
NEVER
Trans-Bridge had a few 18000s delivered in late 2018.
Transbridge never had any 18000s. The 18000s all 129 of them went to NJT service. They have 19000s 2019 buses.
NJT will eventually regret getting the USSC LX Driver seat on these units. They crap out as early as 2 years of age.
MrWill1985 16001 seat is done for
Flashing strobe on the roof for?
reasons. =P ( and it only comes on for one, unless it is malfunctioning. )
Bakani Snowpaw lol 4044 wonder if they fixed that one yet
These buses do need them seatbelts.most sleep so good they fall to the isles floor.
Why don't they have this in nyc mta?
Mta went primarily to prevost.

this is the prototype?
No, the D45-CRT LE is the prototype as of this writing but is soon to replace these styles of D series buses in 2021.

Actually the D series has been changed to be called “NJT Spec” NJT always loved how the D series preformed on their services.

I've rode that 16001 before except the seat belts aren't long enough for portly people they should have made seat belt extensions too
