arnel is already singing since late 70's, thats why he is very much into rock and roll, he also sung in my place olongapo city during the stay of US Naval base Subic Bay.

According to Arnel, it feels surreal still. He has been very grateful and the fans appreciate him every time he closes the concert he'd thank them for the opportunity they've given him to continue Journey's legacy. He's been w/ them for 15 yrs. Arnel has remained humble. Everyone he has worked with has nothing but good praises 4 him.

this is an absolute reminisce rewatching Arnel's performance as the Journey member, yet it's really quite frustrating given the hatred & negativities he'd intricate behind it if u guys don't know. as a fellow filipino it really is hurtful for us knowing it as we all knew what the talent & ability he's been capable of, they should've shown a warm appreciation instead given the fact that he actually saved the band after Steve's left 🥲😐

Thanks for patronizing our own and that your channel serves as eye opener for me. Not that I am not interested with music because I myself am singing and knows a bit how to play guitar and keyboard but that I don't usually watch a lot of Filipino concerts and performances on TV or on shows. The original lead singer of Journey was Steve Perry, he has been in the band back in the 70's, 80’s and 90's. He is known for his popular songs like Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin', Any Way You Want It, Don't Stop Believin', Open Arms, and Faithfully. And yes, Arnel Pineda is still a member of the band since 2007.
Steve Perry is not the original. He was the one who made journey so popular. Robert Fleischeman is the original.
This is about mid way through the set list, he sang Don’t stop believing father this song and killed it.
Journey “still “performing around US recently and off course Arnel is the lead singer. That concert was March 2009. Please watch “Don’t Stop Believin’: Everyman’s Journey.” That’s his life story.

Same can be said about the drummer Deen Castronovo, he came in after Perry left since their technically 3rd drummer decided to quit if Perry wasn't in the band (ironically, Perry fired the drummer Steve Smith & original bassist who is back in this video when Perry produced their album "Raised on Radio", also ironically the bassist & drummer came back for Journey's comeback album "Trial By Fire" only for Perry to injure his hip right before their tour and waited almost 2 years to get it fixed, but by then Journey decided to move on from him, Journey had 2 other singers after Steve and the 3rd time is the lucky #, when Arnel got hired").
The drummer here got arrested for drugs & domestic abuse and was fired and the band rehired Steve Smith as a temporary replacement but that lasted several years. Then the bassist & drummer tried for some reason to go behind the bands back to take over the Journey name, I think they felt they were being cheated out of royalties or something. So both got fired.
The band recorded a new album "Freedom" during the 2nd wave of Covid with Randy Jackson on bass and Omar Hakim on drums. Only for both to not tour and Journey rehired their drummer Deen after cleaning himself up and hired a new bassist for the 2022-2023 world tour.
So I think their really fine keeping the Journey legacy going.
But now the only original member the guitarist Neal Schon is sueing the keyboard player due to finacial reasons and the keyboard player is counter suing because the guitarist is blindly buying none Journey related items with Journey's credit card shared by the band.
Its a mess but I saw them this year and they sounded great. Though the band says everything is cool but on stage both guys stayed on opposite sides. Either way, Journey will always Rock.
