Fuck yeah! Tempo is such a ridiculously important record for me. I discovered it the year it was released when I was 14 years old. I played it so much that it got my dad and brother into metal, too. To this day, we share a lot of nostalgia and memories of good times listening to that LP together. Exodus fucking rules.
Hell yeah, man! Shroud Of Urine has such a Death tone, meaning Death...the band from their Individual Thought Patterns album. I actually thought Death was playing that song, but once I saw that it was Exodus I about shit my damn pants! Tempo has a good amount of Progressive undertones plastered all over the album.
Back before this came out my group of friends were all a genre of metal fan, we had a power metal/prog guy, a Metallica/Megadeth guy, a black metal guy...I was the thrash guy, and I was always like man, if Exodus and Testament can just get back together and when Tempo finally came out I got to show all of my buddies this amazing fucking record and they all loved it!
This is the best comeback album from a metal band, I mean 12 years of not making music...what can we expect? I remember when I first heard War Is My Shepard, I head banged so hard and my neck hurt for at least a week and a half afterwards so that should tell you something, Steve! Your vocals on the album are some of the best you have ever done!!! This is a proper comeback metal album because you guys took the next step into technical territory.
Freaking love this album! I love the way it sounds, very natural warm crunchy guitar tones,of course the best solos thrash has to offer imo in the top shelf of thrash leads! Love the fact Rick solos on this! And always a huge fan of you Zet, the most original ,unique , and especially nasty and evil sounding voice in thrash ! Sincerely makes me feel anxiety and trepidation as any good horror movie does! And of course as I once told Tom hunting to his face he is one of all time favorite thrash drummers.
Finally got a chance to view this episode and it’s killer as usual. TEMPO OF THE DAMNED is a monster album that I got when it was released and let’s just say it really upped my level of Exodus fandom. At gunpoint I’d have to call it my favorite album you’ve ever sang on, but there are days when Pleasures creeps up on it and Impact is the dark horse. But man, anyway you slice it, classic album. Going to have to check out the AC/DZ stream. I got excited when I saw “What’s Next to the Moon” on the set list!
I can’t forget to add that the addition of Jack’s bass tone was the first time I heard a distinct bass tone in Exodus, nothing against Rob McKillop ,maybe it’s modern recording techniques but I can really hear that deep end growl and clank of that bass, and he has one of my favorite bass tones and it like Frank Bello he places with his fingers and has the bright piano like clink to the strings which I fucking love.it’s gotta be the tone also coming from the fingers too!
TEMPO was / is one of the defining moments for EXODUS. Epic record. For those who haven't seen it check out Josh Steffan's drum cover of "Culling The Herd". 3rd Tier Nipple Twist n' 1/2!!!⛧🤘

Its is one of the best return comeback metal LP's of all time
Tempo is hands down one of the best sounding metal albums of all time. The drums punch powerfully and the guitar tone is on point. Everything is well mixed. Also.....Walter is the shit 🤘🏻
Amazing show, Zet! Tempo is one of my favourite Exodus albums released! Recently played it and I was reminded why I love that album. Can't wait for the release of Persona Non Grata in November!
I LOVED THAT EPISODE!! Talking about my favourite Exodus album and AC/DZ, must get a ticket for the livestream! Thank you Zet and Walt, love you guys and love the Toxic Vault!!! 🤘🖤🤘
Bro!!! Your show is the shit!!! Lovin every minute of it. It’s great to see how well you’re doing. I love how you always mention that you’re a UNION Carpenter!!! Keep it up Zetro!!
For the person that asked about Gary trying out for Machine Head, he went into a lot of detail about it when he was interviewed on Rob Flynn's podcast. It's on Spotify. The Diaz paint job on your bike is killer.
Tempo is most definitely the best Exodus record. Has a bit of everything they ever did, has the H team, and has Zetro's excellent vocals. All time great thrash metal landmark, and cemented Exodus's legacy above all the other thrash bands. Best album by THE defining band in thrash metal.
Sorry I missed you l;ive...AGAIN! Man, I just can't seem to catch ypu despite the reminders. I always end up being busy as fuck. Today I was out cutting up trees with a chainswa to clear a spot for my new driveway that's going to go around the back of the house. We've had rain all fuckin' week and this is the first day with any sun, so I got out there and was busy all day. Sorry, dude! I'm watching it right now though. Glad to hear about Tempo Of The Damned. My fave fuckin' Exodus record!
Tempo of the damned is a deadly, heavy-as-fukk album. I'm wondering if the creature at the keyboards was inspired by a character in the 1981 horror classic, the Funhouse. There is a guy wearing a Frankenstein mask, when he rips it off, he looks like the keyboard freak on the cd cover. Exodus is fukking amazing, love the toxic vault!!
Tempo's my all time favorite Exodus album and possibly one the best Metal Albums of all time - I'd put it in at least top 10, top 5 if not top 3 of all time. First thing about Tempo is that it has for me personally that perfect sound. It sounds modern and old school at the same time. Besides that bascially every song on it is just killer. There's basically no fillers on the album. From the first to the last song it's awesome and oldschool
Ugh...I have my notifications on and stupid UA-cam didn’t tell me this was on live. 🤦♂️ Anyway...love Tempo of the Damned. Ordered a shirt and patch last week to support the show. 🤘🏻
There was actually one song you recorded for Tempo, but didn't release officially - "Crime of the Century". From what I've heard, Century Media had some problems with the lyrical content so it was replaced with Impaler. The song was later released as a bonus track on SHKM, with different lyrics (Purge the World). The original version with Zetro singing can be found on UA-cam, although the quality is pretty bad. Also I've read an interview where Gary said that all the rhythm tracks were recorded for Deathrow in the same sessions, but leads and vocals were never put on it for whatever reason.

@@filipnevrly1256 That's a lot of hate there. I don't mind Robb Flynn. Machine Head has a lot of great music, The Blackening is awesome. I just prefer Gary Holt doing Exodus, which is also why I'm glad Slayer won't be taking up all his time anymore. Also, what's wrong with Scott Ian? He's cool.

Dude if I had a nickel for every moment an Exodus track brought me my dad and brother closer together…bro, forget abt it.
Tempo is my favorite Exodus album.
Auf jeden Fall ein super Comebackalbum .
Tempo is up there with the first three albums, a masterpiece, and the Tenet record is another killer, major thumbs up for both.
Tempo is my fav Exodus album too - it has the most variety, the most groove, best solos and the most brutal lyrics
I hope future Exodus albums have the same production as Tempo. The guitar tone has never been better and the drums are perfect.

TOTD is definitely the best of the 'modern' records but a lot of fat could've been trimmed...the intro to Blacklist doesn't need to be that long.
Dude slow down
Pretty rough voice while talking but awkward while singing.
I understand that he loves ACDC but to sing trash with ACDC voice is not a good idea
