    Thats soo gooooood! It sounds like a mix of Korn vocals, Red guitar and Dream Theater drums. Mixed all together it sounds AMAZING, plus, you got your own touch into it that I've heared before on your Tool covers. Keep it up!

    Wow, that was very unexpected from the first 2 1/2 minutes, then the sudden transition to the latter half. The sweet sounding vocals at first, and then from the same person that gutteral inflammation was a big surprise. Your drumming was outstanding, as usual. I love the bird fret inlays on the guitar.

      johnkew I've been watching your videos for quite some time and you are a very talented drummer and you seem that you want to be just like Danny Carey, which is my favorite drummer of all time. And just like Danny, you use electronic pads, so my question is how do you install different sounds and instruments into your pads?

      johnkew It wasn't too bad! I'm glad to see this from you guys! I started obsessing over your drumming videos after seeing your Tool covers and one explaining the smaller details you had to figure out from Danny Carey's technique. Keep kickin' ass.

    John, did I see a link somewhere to a different video for this song like you would normally do on your covers? Or a full behind the scenes video like the teaser at the end of this video?
    Where and how did you get those drums/cymbals? Were they the same as you used in the studio? Did they take a beating in the sand? Have more questions on other tracks which Ill post in the FB group.

    • @johnkew
      @johnkew  7 років тому +1

      Hi James, I did record a drum-through for this song in the studio the day before we went out on-location. I just haven't mixed it down yet. But it'll be posted on this channel when finished.
      At the end of the video, there's a box that pops-up in the teaser for the full behind the scenes.

      I would blame the mix, during the verses the vocals are too low, it they turn it up a little in order to not get drowned by the instruments, it should sound better
