I bought a gallon of 5w50w Castrol full synthetic motor oil 20 years ago for gun lube,it works mint ! It is not even half gone, and I shoot and clean a LOT !
And when using any type of high pressure cleaner... use eye protection. I have never oiled gas rings, or any oil inside the BCG. I oil the 3 main places where it rides in the receiver.
@@goosecouple Lucas Marine like boating oil which are you talking about I'm talking about the actual Lucas gun grease which I use it on my CCW cuz it doesn't melt away like oil does and have to re lubricate every 2 weeks or so it stays where it's supposed to stay for months on end and operates beautifully I've just never tried it on a rifle I'm kind of trying to figure out if it's even worth it I don't get a chance to get out to the range much these days working multiple jobs it's expensive where I live so I'm trying to figure out from other people's experience the best option you know what I mean LOL
@@Jordan-ql6tm Lucas Gun Grease is blue, so is the Lucas Marine grease. They are the same thing. Add some automotive oil to the Lucas Marine and you'll get the Lucas Gun Grease.
Very disappointing Lucas fake news the coating on the BCG Ni Bor is what's making it easy to clean not your product has nothing to do with it and who the hell uses microfibers to clean a gun at least act like you know what you're doing
This rube doesn't mind spraying that toxic shit all over his bare hands and just huffing it all in, huh? He does seem quite "slow" - perhaps lucas oil helped!
It's not toxic, it's an eye irritant and the bottle says so, nothing on the safety data sheet will harm your health either, only give you watery eyes if it HAPPENS to get some in there
Oh great and all knowing gun clean guru please bestow on us what your royal magnificence uses to clean your magical unicorn guns cause evidently Jerry miculek and other pro shooters are using Lucas oil in error
Nickel Boron coating on the bolt carrier is what keeps it easy to clean...Not Lucas oil
50 Stitches Steel omg dude just what I was thinking hahahaha #“fake news”
50 Stitches Steel took the words out of my mouth LMAO
Me too
Lmao 🤣 right nib ...misleading hate when they do that shit!!
I was just about to say the same thing. Also shooting 300 rounds is not a ton of wear.
Who else knows the nickel helps it not stick, not oil lol. Good sales pitch though
Lucas Oil, could you make a video why gun oil is preferred over conventional motor oil?
yes motor oil is a good gun lube too....ive been using mobil1 on all my firearms and never had a problem
Best damn synthetic oil ever. I use it on my guns and knives. It smells so wonderful too.
Love my Lucas weapon oil , use it 0 problems .

So what should I use CLP on, and bore cleaner? I have a Mossberg 590A1 pump action 12 gauge.
slip2000gun lube
Did he say that he let the CLP stay on it for one day?
save my bacon grease and use it..smells great and keeps nickel boron spotless.
What bolt carrier group do you run ?
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Simple and practical.
How well do you like Lucas gun grease instead of the oil for your BCG?
I have tried the Lucas marine. BCG won't lock back after the last round. 40F outdoor temp.

@@aj897 Hey, feel free to pay more for a re-packaged product.
3:50 look at the carbon on the bolt 👀
He said he hadn't cleaned it for 3-4k rounds
Brake parts cleaner? same thing?
Contact cleaner is milder than brake parts cleaner since it's made for electrical contacts but a non-chlorinated brake cleaner would be similar.
Bullshit ! Lucas is wonderful !
This doesn't cause cancer like that stuff lmao
Break parts cleaner?

I use microfibers to clean guns and I fire more rounds a week than you do in 5 years. Get gud little boy.

I'm pretty sure a company like Lucas Oil that specializes in this sort of stuff knows more about it than you do.
lololo. match shooter. not an 11b or 0311 to be sure.
