The fact that this movie speaks to teenagers, people in their 20s and 30s, all the way up to someone my age (61) says a lot about how right this movie gets the story it tells. Despite the differences between today and the early 70s when I was in high school, I see so much of myself in the character of Simon just the way you said you did. Finally feeling represented onscreen for the first time in a mainstream film is wonderful, no matter how old you are.

Zara Jean, because it's an amazing movie whether you're young or old. And because the importance of seeing yourself represented in something is just as huge at 61 as it is as a teen.

Zara Jean Because it's important to see how far society has grown! It's amazing that he cares for the younger generation and advocates for more love and acceptance! When I grow old I want to see the environment my child or the children of my loved ones are in to see the impact I could make in their lives or how I could better the world, or to see how better this world has gotten.

I went to the movies expecting it to be just some "sort of dumb teenage comedy, but gay so I'm watching it", so I was definitely surprised, related to it a lot and cried many times. I took my youngest sibling (14) who is also gay af with me and I have no words to express how happy I am that their generation was given this story at the moment they need it the most.

Riyadh, this is so awesome! I absolutely loved this movie, it meant so much to me and it's so freakin cool that you got to interview them! I agree with you about Nick's protrayal of Simon, it was spot-on and that Jennifer Garner scene had me sobbing in the movie theater.
After being in the closet until the age of 25, this film was very healing for me. It was incredibly well done and I would recommend it wholeheartedly.

I absolutely loved the movie Love Simon I have it it’s one of my favorite movies no matter who we are we deserve a great love story I’m straight but I seriously do not hate I absolutely laughed and cried during this movie it’s so good it’s one of the best movies.

This movie is simply amazing!!! my school.. college... 20's... everything packed in one movie! But then ...all these guys look so great.... its so easy to fall for them.. :|
I have seen the movie twice now and I have cried every time. This movie is so relatable for me and is a wonderful representation of the LGBT community. It’s also just the cutest to look around the theater and see all the cute couples cuddling and enjoying the wholesome movie together. I went with my girlfriend on Monday and we both cried at the part when his mom is talking to him because although our moms each took it well they were not as accepting it right away. I would still get comments from my mom saying that it can “always change.” I actually saw the movie with my mom and sister first and it felt great. It probably looked funny seeing the two girls dressed up in rainbow crying the whole movie while there is an older, ordinary woman in between them who is definitely not crying. It was fun to share with her anyway. I totally recommend this movie, 100%!

So me and my best friend went to the Manchester viewing you did and I cried so hard. Its an amazing film and I would reccommend it to everyone. It really helped me,as a straight ally, to understand the struggle of coming out and what a lot of gay people go through. My brother and my sister are both gay and luckily, my parents are very accepting, but this film helped me understand the stress and worry people go through when they think about coming out.
