Dear Mr Plastic,
I think that has turned out very nicely. It’s hard to produce the effects necessary to create the illusion of use. The thing I like about oils however is that one can use odourless thinners to tone it all down if there’s too much of an effect.
I found this out with a 1/48 Spitfire a ways back and never forgot it!
The final effect of the metal finish on the walkways is excellent by the way. I think you have captured that exceedingly well!!
The pictures were good- in particular the one with the two officers and the pilot on the fore starboard quarter. The lighting is super- subtle and giving the appearance of day.

Although a bit heavy on the weathering, it came out quite nice in the end. I like the grey-green scheme, so I have ordered the same Revell kit as I only have a 1/48 Spit in my collection.

Paul, If you get another Revell kit, would you be able to do a version with the entry hatch open and the canopy slid back to better expose the cockpit interior (for whatever mods you were thinking of including)? In any case, a very nice job, and the black and white photos add a war-time realism to the diorama.
