Why is the tab flipped (string position marked on top 2 strings as you play bottom 2 strings) I thought that if the top string are played that would show the top lines on the tap What am I apparently missing? Thank you
I’ve been practicing wrong for a year Bummer Thanks for putting up with my ignorance My 6th grace teacher taught me that ignorance is curable but stupidity is forever Thank you for the cure

standard tablature convention. Bass is always on the bottom similar to standard notation.

The tab isn’t flipped. Think of it as if you’re looking down at your fretboard as a right handed player.
Takes a bit to get used to, but as @v2807 said, imagine peeking over your fretboard to see the strings...that's how tab reads.
Thank you
I’ll have to start practicing that
Is it all tab that reads like that?
Have I been practicing my earl scruggs song book wrong?
Thanks again
@@familyonamissiongo4790 The Earl Scruggs book is written in the same orientation of the tab here, yep.
I’ve been practicing wrong for a year
Bummer
