I recommend people watch the entirety of Yngwie's performance in the full concert video "Alcatrazz: Metallic Live '85", to see just how much he was on another level, even amongst his peers. Wonderful melodic solo'ing, stunning and revolutionary technical virtuosity, and the most incredible, violin-like vibrato. part 2 coming soon. Cheerios!
David Chastain is on this list! I'm happy. Hope to see Alex Masi also. He is like more glam version of Yngwie Malmsteen
yeah, I forgot about Masi, never really cared for him but his albums was always in the local store. :D Cheers!
Gary Moore…he’s always missing. Check out his live videos especially from the 80s !! He had a huge technique with so much feeling.
he was in the 70s videos. ;) Cheers!
@@RuthlessMetalYT gm should still be in the 80s also and not the 70s
@@starkmoore2684Sour grapes...
Love from Sweden 💖
None of these awful shredding style guitarists could hold a candle to Gary Moore, Rory Gallagher or Hendrix.
Jake could, that's why he was Gary Moore's favorite
Excellent list.
Thanks!
Nick Bowcott from Grim Reaper👍 🎸 He's one of the best from the NWoBHM scene.
Vernon Reid from Living Colour is another killer guitarist from this era
Cheerios!
One more favourite guitar player is GARY more ❤❤❤❤❤
Great video. I really missed Kee Marcello. For me he is superior to Norum, even tho Europe was a better band with Norum. Kee is vastly underrated
Gamla goda Kjelle. :)
Great list! I guess part two will be great as well!
I try my best. hehe
Chastain was a other very overlooked shred genius great composer and flawless technique
indeed cheers
David has a very unique sound. There is nothing "cookie cutter" in his style at all.
I play guitar my self and feel like Im bad of it. kiddig ya have the best thank U man
cheers
R.I.P. Rhandy Roads
rip
Good stuff! Maybe Vivian Campbell and Adrian Smith/Dave Murray in part 2?
I can confirm. ;) 🤘🏻
John Norum é Extraordinário 👊🏿🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Cheers!
Sou fã dele! Pra mim um dos melhores guitarreiros do planeta!
Your list is terrific 👍 unique too. I doubt if anyone would have come up with the same list.
thanks man! Cheers!
Todos extraordinários! Mas, o Malmsteen é um caso à parte. É impressionante a precisão e rapidez dele...
Cheers! 🤘
good work thank U have the best
thank you sir
One guy that doesn't get any credit is Carlos Cavazo. He had the unfortunate curse of stepping into Randy Rhoads' shadow, but he can shred.
yup. I was hearing battle axe from metal health. it's an incredible; track just like Mr scary from George Lynch and Dokken 👍🤘
hcheers
Man goood choice with the haunting solo from dynamo for Alex Scolnick. That's such an unbelievably good live performance and I've watched that video like a hundred times hahah
yeah but like most thrash videos the recordings are a bit wonky.

CHEERS
I cannot say which one is my favorite but to mention which one I was listening more... George Lynch, Yngwie, Alex Skolnick, Vito Bratta and of course Eddie.
Cheers!
A damned shame we lost Randy Rhoads all too soon. That kid was just getting warmed up. I'd kill to hear the music he would have created.
Cheerios!
Some guitar heros for part 2: Eddie Van Halen, Gary Moore before the Blues, Slash, Kirk Hammet, Diamond Darrell from Pantera, Mick Mars from Motley Crue, Richie Sambora from Bon Jovi, Vito Brata from White Lion, the duets Murray and Smith, Tipton and KK Downing and so many other..
I won't put the guys from the 70's guitarists in the 80's, it would just be a lot of the same guys reappearing. so. :) We'll see.
Angus and Ace would be fun to see. Nugent. Jabbs.
This video was really a fun watch !
you gotta check the 70s videos for those. cheers
This video is like the last page of guitar player in late 1980’s awesome.
Cheerios!
Great video
thx cheers
Great list, all of them had an impact on me. I was happy to see you included Criss Oliva, Jason Becker. Looking forward to a Part 2, still so many left (Vitto Bratta, EVH, Tony MacAlpine, Ronnie LeTekro) to name a few.
EVH was in the 70s video. Cheerios
