Street Fighter X Mega Man Version 2.0 Playthrough (With Sagat and Akuma) - Finale

After the Boss Rush, we fight three final bosses: the Bonus Boss (Sagat), the Final Boss (M. Bison), and finally the True Final Boss (Akuma). I love the improvements they made in Version 2, but I think even more can be done. Here are some suggestions I had in mind for if a Version 3 ever gets made:
1. At the end of Balrog's stage, you have the option of either walking over the collapsing bridge and letting Balrog fall to his death like normal, or jumping over the collapsing bridge and leaving it intact. If you do this, Balrog will make it across safely and then you actually get to fight him in an actual boss battle in front of the casino. This optional fight will also be the first step for unlocking a new boss in suggestion #3.
2. In the boss rush rooms of most other Mega Man games, a 9th teleporter opens up after you kill the 8 bosses again, which takes you to Wily. Since the boss rush stage in SFxMM is Seth's Lab, maybe Seth could be added as the 9th boss.
3. Another True Final Boss, basically a second form of Akuma. There are four steps toward unlocking this boss, and all must be done without continuing. Step 1 is described in suggestion #1: Get a Perfect against Balrog the hard way (by actually fighting him as described in suggestion #1). Step 2: Unlock both of the other secret bosses, Sagat and Akuma, the methods of which are the same as in Version 2. Step 3: Get Perfect on both Sagat and Bison. (Bison's Perfect will count when Akuma drops from the sky.) Step 4: Beat Akuma (I'm not going to suggest the requirement of getting Perfect on him because it would just be too insane, especially since you can't abuse E-Tanks against him). If you did it all correctly, Akuma will not explode when he dies. Instead, he will fall to the ground and channel his Satsui no Hado energy to become Oni (from Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition) and challenge you to the ultimate fight! If you die against Oni, you have to fight Akuma again, but he'll still turn into Oni after you kill him. If you get Game Over against Oni, however, you'll start back at Akuma, and he'll just explode like normal after you kill him this time.
4. An Achievement system, similar to Mega Man 9 and 10.

In Version 2, you need at least 4 Perfect victories in the Shadaloo stages (Balrog and onward), which includes the boss rush. If you did it correctly, the final stage should be raining in the foreground, which means you've successfully unlocked Sagat.
How. On. Earth. Are. You. So. Good?!?!?
It took me more than 30 tries while using weaknesses to get past the pre-Bison boss reruns. And here you are, taking care of freaking Sagat and Akuma with ease while it would take me generations to even unlock them, let alone beat them.

Maybe if there’s ever a sequel it could happen. Street Fighter and Mega Man’s 35th anniversary is this year, so maybe?

The Sagat robot master was almost too convincing...
You know, I don't know if anyone agrees, but I wish Oro will be in this game. Somewhat like a hidden boss.

So if they did another one of these...I'm thinking Ken, Cammy, E. Honda and Guile are good candidates for bosses...who am I kidding?! Nintendo shows more respect to Mega Man than Capcom!
NetMoverSitan yeah, Akuma only kills those he deems unworthy of challenging him, and if you are straight up useless at fighting and you annoy him, the most you will get is a very scary grunt.
Akuma is the most difficult boss to defeat.
My experiences - I'm not as good as this guy so:
1. I use a lot of reflector on Sagat and Akuma. Especially with Sagat, I find using reflector and firing charged hadouken through that takes out the unpredictability of his tiger fireballs, while giving you encounters where you can hit Sagat without taking damage.
2. When I see Sagat doing his big combo, I am usually able to hit him with 1 regular hadouken (during windup tiger uppercut) and 1 charged hadouken (when Sagat lands after the last POWER tiger uppercut).
3. I find that crimson laser works better and does more damage on both Bison and Akuma. The downside, oc, is that you run out of ammo, so for me it's a way to soften them up before getting down and dirty.
I love the 8-bit Tiger Uppercut.
I think the count of "Perfect" ratings is off... Still, great video.

Definitely a cheap move! Akuma is definitely one of the hardest Mega Man bosses I've ever fought, but also one of the most fun!

Evilest Ryu I thought the same thing about Akuma, where if you fulfill certain other conditions on top of those required to unlock Akuma in the first place, he'll turn into Oni. That would have been a good addition in a future update.
They might as well should have had three stages. Normal, Shin and then oni

I had no idea Rolento's cane jump sound effect made the same sound as Scrooge Mcduck's cane from Ducktales. Both are made by Capcom, so I like how they did that little easter egg (if u would call it that)

I couldn't help but notice that with no real cooldown animation on megaman's moves or anything to really trap him on the ground, I don't see how anyone could get hit by the raging demon. Unless they simply wanted to see what it looked like. lol
I think Akuma always does it right when the battle begins, just to catch you off guard
I think it would be cool if when you beat Sagat you get to use his Tiger Uppercut and after you beat Akuma you get to use his Raging Demon attack and I like how they were able to combine Mega Man and Street Fighter
I could see getting Sagat's Tiger Uppercut (or even just Tiger fireballs), but since Akuma is the true final boss, it would seem kind of pointless to get a weapon from him unless it were for New Game+ purposes or something like that. And yeah, it is cool the way they were able to combine two Capcom franchises both celebrating their anniversaries.
Can you use the Aegis Reflector on the tiger shots?

I think that "Hadoken" is better than "Mega buster" when you fight with Akuma.
"Syakunetu-Hadoken(Charged Hadoken" is able to through Akuma's hadoken!
(but,It doesn't work to Akuma's "Syakunetu-Hadoken(big red one)"
幾鳥出島 Yeah, the charged Hadouken and the Optic Laser seem to do more than other weapons, but I just like the challenge of fighting Akuma buster-only since it's just such a fun fight.

I decided to test whether it was possible to beat Balrog before he reached the pit. Took many continues, but with the Sei'ei Enbu, its just barely possible. I don't have a video of it, but if you are willing to try it out, try to beat Balrog using that technique (its the fastest way to whittle down his health while still moving fast enough to avoid him charging at you). Since it will be an actual KO, there will be plenty of time to reach the Energy tank afterwards.
Do passwords carry over Perfects, or do i have to do it all in one run?
I don't think your perfect count is carried over through passwords, but I'm not entirely sure.

uhm hey dude im always trying to beat everyone in a perfect but all of those bosses are so hard that i cant beat them in perfect do you have any tipps for me?

If you ask me, Chun-Li is the easiest starting boss to get a Perfect on, so I recommend starting with her. For the rest of 'em, just study their reads to figure out which attack they're going to do, react accordingly, and use their weaknesses (Chun-Li - C. Viper - Dhalsim - Blanka (second-easiest in my book) - Rose - Rolento - Urien - Ryu - Chun-Li). If you're trying to perfect the Shadaloo bosses as well, all you can really do for Balrog is memorize the stage, and as for Vega...don't even try.
Also, you can get hit and still get a Perfect by using an E-Tank just before the final blow, as long as you finish the fight with full health.

All I can say there using hell of a lot of pitch control. Voice synthesis is not easy. Its a mixer of everything you learn about sound and smashing it together to make vowels and letters under the limitations you may have.
Since there were already failed tries on Akuma, am I the only one who wanted to see what the raging demon ended up looking like?

They used voice sythesis technique to do ryus and sagats voice keeping the capcom rule of not using DPCM samples, and gave ducktales scrooge mcduck sounds to rolento lol.

The creator made some strange choices for the eight characters to fight. Of course classics like Ryu, Chun Li, Blanka, and Dhalsim are obvious. But where’s the likes of Guile, Cammy, Honda, and Zangief.

+Gerardo Otero Vega is before the boss rush. Typically you need 1-2 E powerups to beat him, although I've done it ONCE without needing it.
