I learned how to set up a rack and grow microgreens from you guys...now I want to do the flood and drain system. Space is a problem for me though. Thanks you Mandy and CJ!!!
Hi sending you both Blessings from Anguilla🇦🇮 in the Caribbean🖐🏾Loved the video. I have gotten all the info for what I need to start from you guys, so I am just working on my funds for it. You guys are turning me into a female farmer🤣 We don't have much females that farm where I am from. I have your book in my cart on Amazon. When is it going to be back in stock? I prefer to have a hard copy. Thanks for always being such a breath of fresh air and for having such awesome personalities 🤗 In these unpredictable times, Some might not say it but you do brighten my day by making me smile. I am yet to watch a video and not laugh or smile🤣
Great explanation of your flow system. I'm curious how much your breakdown is for your utilities supporting the trailer and all of the lights, fans, and HVAC ends up running you each month? Now I have to check out the video of the spaceman feeling the effects of earth gravity in the trailer.... ha. Thanks for the content!
Great video, I was thinking about making a system like yours. I saw a similar system but the reservoir was a fish tank. The theory is that the fish produces nutrient for the plant.
Yes!! Aquaponics would be the term for it. Lots of fun if you can manage it, but it has a pretty big learning curve to start. We're a bit lazier and just stick to Hydroponics for now. We will likely do some aquaponics soon though!
Awesome stuff. Have you guys done anything on seed saving? I'd like to get a hydroponic setup that can have a few matured plants that produce seeds so its self sufficient
This was a good video, but I now need info on what it would take to setup a watering setup like that. Hoping you have a nice top to bottom video about it. Also, wouldn’t the microgreens benefit from being flooded with water a few times a day like your rock wool garden? Why don’t you do that?
Can you clarify which "T8" lights you are using on these racks? Gonna be hitting you up for some of your sprouting tray gear. Appreciate the work you two do with all of the comparisons ✌
Hi! Love your videos!...i noticed you change your lights from t5 barrina to the colored ones, whats the specs of the new lights? And why you changed the lights?
Did you develop a preference over time to not use the net cups and net cup tray insert or is there another reason for using the plain rock wool in the mesh tray? (larger rock wool cubes?)
Given the channel in the back where the liquid collects and drains is not covered at all, how do you control algae growth? Do you have issues with algae?
I lost everything this year due to heat in my DWC, and Kratky because I am not going to run a chiller as the running costs are horrible (I know from my laser cutter), so I wonder is ebb and flow (flood and drain) more able to handle the higher water temps? At least the root rot should be less of a concern since the plants are not sitting in water 24x7, right?
Could you provide with hydroponic solutions? What type of solution? How many grams? And, may be you can make video about “how make hydroponic solution for other plants”
Thanks for another fantastic video !! Stay safe and take care !!
Great video! Thanks!

Your video is very good. I like the green from your garden. They look great!

Nice set up, makes me want to grow something😀

Awesome 👍
Another great video.
I wonder how long it takes for the kale to grow from a seed to the size you have in the video?
I love flood and drain! I also use it to automate my microgreen production :) Great video
What are your timing cycles for your microgreens? And what medium do you use?

@@OnTheGrow Aquaponics seems really cool. I can imagine raising Trout and veggies at the same time.
Perfect timing guys, was just thinking about setting up a EBB flow system(or dwc). Love the content!
@Matthew Kniedler What is DWC?
@@robertsparling deep water culture growing plants in water/nutrient solution
@Matthew Kniedler all depends
@@justinomar9210 Like Kratky? Or do you keep filling it up and oxygenate with an airstone?
@@robertsparling yeah like kratky but with an airstone you can fill when ever you like it's upto you
I love ur haircut!! :D nice video and info.. will try it at home :D thanks!

what a great vid. So how were all those greens eaten? This could lead into food prep and lots of vids. Great job guys.

Thats exaclty what i am wondering and would love to do myself!

Hello~I ❤️ this also~ I am very interesting..

Do you have a vid or post on how to build this flood system? I’d love to recreate it?

I grow watercress in flood and grow, slow to start but when it gets going its hard to keep up with the cropping
How do you know when your nutrient solution needs to be dumped and replaced, or supplemented with more solution?
Could you provide with hydroponic solutions?

How do you get your shiso so big? My shiso leaves are very small… I’m also using maxigro…
Hi. Can you tell me what kind of basil you have there? Green basil
with huge leaves
They listed the plants in the description section
pea crops higher in flood and drain
15 minutes is way too long, those trays should be flooding for 1-2minutes.
15 mins was perfect for us. We tested less time and everything dried out. If 1-2minutes works well for you, then do it! 🌱🌱
