As a result, God isekai'd Tanya to a world that she has to rely on God very often. However Tanya calls God "Being X".
Eh, more like Being X is a powerful reality-warping archdemon or something with domain over that Earth and perhaps several others like the Earth that HR McSalaryman came from, it would certainly fit its petulance and immaturity infinitely better than actually believing its bogus claims.
Tanya is the very definition of "Lawful Evil", she will do anything if it's necessary or if it's a direct order, then there's Visha the moral compass of the battalion
Just so you know they made tanya seem way more evil then she really is in the anime tanya really just always wanted to stay home and not do anything.
When she fired at the people for 36 hours she was in charge of training them and didn't want to so tried to make them give up but they never did
And when she fired at the civilians she was also giving orders to and would have to anyway since her country was very strict and had punishments for not following orders

@@junglekxngtalksanime shes only LOOKS really evil to other people because all of her attempt to get transfered to work at the rear (opposite of the frontline) were seen as her being brave, heroic and merciless instead of being smart and cowardly(conditions people needed to work at the rear at the time, to avoid fighting on the field). But at the time when they assigned a special battalion all too herself is when she decided to go balls to the walls: "If I can't stay safe and work in the rear, I will just train the strongest soilders/subordinates to be as safe as possible on the field"
@🥇Jungle 𝕂Xℕ𝔾 talks ANIME & CARTOONS👑 during this time period officers would have infantry members who didn't follow orders shot for cowardic, because that was the mentality back in the day. So by yodays standards she would be evil, but back in that time, necessary to live.

@@junglekxngtalksanime at worse Tanya is lawful evil, because she saw war as 'unproductive and therefore evil' to quote one of her lines from episode two. She appears evil because she is strict when it comes to following the rules, even if the rules are messed up.
Ok so explanation off top of my head.
So yeah it is magic that tanya and everyone else that's flying are using, that's way their called mage's. And everyone that has an aptitude for magic are REALLY wanted by the government and military and tanya has a LOT of magic. She's an ocean while other mage's are ponds and some lakes, and she has a god mode (the golden eyes) that god gave her as a way to try and fill her heart with devotion and purity, so if she wants her gear to work she has to pray to God every time and she wants to go god mode she has to recite a fully devoted prayer with all of her heart and mean it or her gem (the red crystal with the cross) will overload with her magic and explode. She basically has a nuke attached to her at all times. it doesn't work it just makes her angry every time she prays (that is way she wants to get revenge on being x, (god))so yeah mary and her dad were in god mode (mods and cheats activated and she still wasted them without using her own god mode (because that would be taking help from being x, do she does do it to save her team from getting wiped out by the colonel when he got the god mode + the tranche gun (witch is a war crime by the way lol). And at the end of the story she become a literal myth and disappear, and she doesn't get in any trouble for anything because she made sure to find and abuse every single loophole she could find in the law and rules of war.

You should watch at least the first episode of tanya because the context has been completely omitted from this video. The show is tanya vs god , and god is the antagonist. Tanya believes in hard work and merits not god, so god tortures her by manipulating the world so tanya has to continue fighting. Tanya is trying to gain military merit so she can retire early in peace, and everyone is impeding that mostly due to the interference of god.

technology or magic? answer, yes.
mind you much of the context is lost in this. tanya is at most lawful neutral. she will only do things if the rules say she can, and she *will* follow them to the letter (sure sometimes maliciously) at the same time, that time she shot into civilians she was ordered to do so by her superiors and she was not legally allowed to disobey them. that factory scene where she does the girl voice: she has been ordered to blow it up. she knows legally she cant get the civilians killed on accident. she does the young girl voice explicitely because shes like "yeah no we warned them to absolutely evacuate and they didnt because they didnt take the warning seriously.". she knew that if they did escape theyd just rebuild and make the war last longer, which is against what she wants which is to end the war as decisively as possible so she can finally retire and not be in danger. all the while her *biggest* detractor in the military constantly refers to her as a demon and begs multiple of the highest up leaders to just retire her already but they wont. yet he also absolutely agrees that in every instance she is one of the greatest tactically minded geniuses of the kingdom and so cannot be simply allowed to leave the military because without multiple of her analysis on wartime law and tactics they would of lost so many times.
the entire time she is consistently trying to not end up someplace dangerous and just retire. she enlists in the military early not because she could but because shed be forced to later due to being a mage, so why not enlist early and take essentially a desk job thats cushy someplace in the back. except that doesnt happen. because reasons.
she once realized that by her country declaring they had won the war decisively but allowed 90%+ of the enemy army to retreat that they would come back stronger than ever. YES logically and by all tactical standpoints her country won the war, however as she pointed out to one of the highest up on the chain of command "humans are emotional creatures, yes they lost the war tactically, so now they will fight for their pride and they will bite back 5x as hard as they did before. PLEASE allow me to take a small group and just nuke them now" "your orders are to standby and not move a muscle" she heard that and litterally raged against her locker in front of men. she absolutely hates the war but knows that until it ends she will not know peace.
she is essentially knowledgeable about the irl world wars in a world where a world war never occured and while she comes across as a sociopath she also understands exactly how everyone would view her based on her actions, she is kind to those who follow her orders and dont break the rules, she is clearly shown actually tending to her guys and making sure they are okay first and foremost. her literal only enemy that she hates with a passion is "god".

It is a mix of tech and magic. Magitech. She has high levels of Magic, plus, if she prays, she can boost it. Each country has their own "flight" devices. The Nords have skis, France has "horses" England has Brooms, and Germany has boots. The technology is @ WWI/WWII levels, and needed because Mages aren't "common" her company is about 1/4 of the ones in Germany
i'm just saying, tanya didn't actually commit any war crimes and she didnt' order that artillery strike. She abided by all the wartime laws. Also the Translation for the series "saga of tanya the evil" isn't actually what it translates to

btw, the title of her series, "Saga of Tanya the Evil", is misleading. Tanya hadn't done anything evil, it's just ... questionable cold logic within the rules/laws. ^^
If I remember correctly the titel "Saga of Tanya the Evil" is technically only the "english name". The literal translation would be more like "The Military Chronicles of a Little Girl".
No Idea why they decided to localize it like this.

From exhibit B, when Tanya attacks the HQ of the Dakian army, there actually was a war crime that was missed. She orders her soldiers to boobytrap one of the corpses of the dead enemy HQ staff.

not clearly explained If you wonder why Tanya became a soldier when she was young is that she has magic, people with magic power must go into the military only In the legion there is a magical combat unit that can fly just as you see it. And when the avalanche Tanya didn't do it. But there were people shouting out of dissatisfaction with the situation they encountered. The snow came down too little explanation Personally, I think that the story Some things are a bit exaggerated from what I've seen in this anime. Well, that guy doesn't breathe, so she does that. Then he returned to breathe. is telling the story until Tanya looks even worse than in the anime.
