Funny story. I sold that truck with the roof rack on it. But a year ago I picked up a 71 that looks almost exactly like it but more original and rougher. I saw the exact same roof rack on craigslist and went and picked it up, and it was never used, still in the box from Sears back in 71. It came with the keys and the manual as well. So now my 71 has the same roof rack that the 69 had.
@@fredges I wish I could have gotten a 521 series Datsun/Nissan truck when I was living in Murfreesboro Tennessee. I love these little trucks, they are practicial to run and to repair when you needed to repair them.
Bought a '71 recently, almost identical. Not nearly as clean, but far more original. Gonna lower it, get the rims painted, and do nothing else but cruise around town in it. :)

I sold that pretty ‘69, but now I have a ‘70, that is a little more beat up. It’s not as nice, but I like it just as much. Love these trucks.

Roof rack I found at an estate sale. It’s from the same year. I don’t remember the brand. Worked great.
My grandfather had one of these. I rode in it when I was ten years old. He wore it out and bought another one in 1975.
This was a 521. What he then bought was a 620 series. Love these little trucks, wish they were still being made today.

Those are a one year item, 1969 only. I sold the truck a while back. But I picked up another, a 71.

Please don't lower it. That ruins the looks of ANYTHING it's done to, and please don't put wagon wheels and thin tires on it either. Hate that look.
just saw this and my truck is bamboo tan too with red wheels the only difference is mine is lowered 4 inches👍
