@@Lord_Dranek buffering in Tekken has two meanings, the one is what you are talking about, and another is pressing the button in the recovery frames to get it just when recovery is over. I have been at it for a couple days still haven't been able to do one this is the last difficult trick I need to learn. This is by far the most difficult thing I have tried to do in Tekken.
I managed to do this on Xbox controller once and a good amount of times on keyboard. I use pad to play normally and dislike the way keybaord feels but use it occasionally for the fun of attempting hard techniques.
I'm definitely gonna have the use variation 1 of the PEWGF input because it will feel alot more natural as a Heihachi main, because I'm used to OTGF, and I think the muscle memory is already there. I just need to get the timing down on that recovery.
How fast do you have to do the pewgf? I've got a fast enough electric being able to do 3 electrics into df+2 but if I do the right timing or start entering f,fd+2 right when the knee drops it comes out as df+2 if I wait a little longer it comes out as the short launch ewgf
A pro tip for counter hit d/f+2 into SS electric. You don't have to do it that way. If you wait just a little bit (right before they hit the ground), you can do a normal electric and still get the pick up without having to sidestep first. Also works with normal Wind God Fist. TMM's way is better though as it realigns and helps you to practice sidestepping into an electric, but I find waiting just a tiny bit easier for me. Here's a link of me showcasing an easy combo from counter hit d/f+2 ua-cam.com/video/IH7ELNbgCb0/v-deo.html. To show that it's consistent even though I drop it a few times lol. Cheers fellow Kazooyer players and good luck.
