    Our Tenor Sax learned to double and triple tongue for this. She tore it up, at this tempo as well

    I just played this for my winter concert ( I'm a junior in high school) and we played it in this speed, the notes for flute are tricky but keep practicing!

    I play the saxophone, mostly the tenor and when I was in high school I found out the treble clef baritone part is usually MUCH better than the sax part . So, I regularly swiped the treble clef baritone music....all the baritone players we had read only bass clef.

    The dynamic format of this song actually reminds me of Barnum & Bailey's Favorite

    @Dbatten07 When I saw this part, some of the notes were higher than I knew my saxophone could go.

    Saxophones can double tongue. Even triple. I can only triple on soprano, but for doubling I use the word "tucker". I'll be playing tenor sax for this next month. Same part as trombone, but I won't have to slide... Haha.

  • @THsoccer15
    @THsoccer15 11 років тому

    I know yours is a fairly old comment, but I just wanted to point out that while saxophones can't double tongue, each key is a different note. Trombones have to figure out not only where to move the slide (could be sharp or flat) but also which note to play in that slide position. Not trying to demean saxophones, but also remember trombones are not usually the lead instrument.

      Actually you have no room to complain cause being a trombone player on this piece is very difficult having only a slide rather than valves or keys or mallets
