Could you make a video showing how you choose the different synth sounds that you commonly use? I am running an identical setup so this was perfect timing but I am getting lost in the number of instrument options. Thank you!
thanks for your comment! It's true that it's easy to get lost... My method is to aim for a basic structure that's almost always the same. That is to say: a kick, a snare, an open Hat, shakers, then a bass, a pad, maybe BELLS or a synth for a melody. For me, that's what you have to find first. With this structure, you can go through different progressive stages, and I think that helps a lot! Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any more technical questions, and good luck with your setup :)
nice set up! can you tell me what exact model of power bank are you using? I have the exact same set up but with an ipad, and it works perfectly fine when plugged into a normal wall socket, but with the power bank its not working and i am afraid mine is just too weak to power both ipad and midi..
@@neve_music Hey I think I got the same question, I will try to make it make more sense: You are recording your performance with a camera. You also play on the midi keyboard and we can hear the sound you play in garage band even before you recorded it into garage band or even without recording it at all for example at the end (1:50). But you need to get that sound from somewhere 😅 how do you record all the input signals not only the ones you actually recorded?
@@Finnschy I'm still not sure I fully understand the question, but I'll answer it this way: Everything is recorded live. Recording is done using the iPhone's "screen capture" mode, from which I keep only the audio! The only drawback with this setup is that I can't wear headphones, so I only hear what I'm doing through the phone's speaker... Which can sometimes (and often does) prove unsatisfactory... Don't hesitate to ask me again if it's not clear?
@@neve_music good, good, verry good, you have talent ! :) But at that iphone you cannot put some speakers for the PC or some headsests ?? Or you should have an ipad...
anyone know how to use the MPK with a RC600 but utilizing midi like garageband but keeping the post-midi sounds? i have the lightning adapter but the audio 3.55m out on the mpk sends a pre-midi signal, only the onboard preset sounds. nothing from garageband/virtual instruments. bought the ai-micro but that doesn't do it
@@neve_music boss loop station. goal is to get the midi sounds out of the MPK to the pedal. if you use the headphone out on the mpk, it's only onboard sounds. if you want midi, no dice.
Excellent !! Garage band c'est la vie
Letsgoooo

@@neve_music but i think its sounds good...
Song played?
It's mine. I "composed" it for the video ! But the chords are very basic, it's sure that they have been used in a lot of songs before :)
