While marveling at the eclipse, I was surprised to hear some people in the crowd screaming as if in terror. I quickly realized, though, that much of the noise was coming from teens joking around, but that moment painted for me a heart pounding image of what it will be like when Jesus returns. In this message, it was as if you spoke directly to me when you were talking about death and while we miss them, they are not missing anything here because they are in the glory of God. My two sisters lost our mom, Rachel, when she was 32 years old to cancer. I recently lost my husband, Gary, (43 years old) to a widow maker heart attack. He was in his prime being a voice for the voiceless ( those who were being g trafficked). They both loved God and I know they are present with Jesus and my faith is strong. I grieve with hope.
That but what also came to mind is broken relationships with people who are still alive, broken over misunderstanding, or other reasons, that is a feeling of loss too that I hope will be resolved some day in this life or the next if we all make it there.

People traveled from all over the world to where I live on the coast of Lake Erie ohio. Schools were closed businesses were closed. I decided to walk two blocks to the closest park to watch it sitting on pier. Along the way everybody had their barbecue grills going lawn chair setup. The park that normally has about a dozen people on any given day had about 2,000 people. But everybody was having a good time. I was the only local person sitting on that Pier. Everybody cheered fireworks went off over the water. Everybody was so excited, I'm not into astronomy, but it was so nice to see everybody so happy . The birds were acting bizarre. Instead of a sunset it was a 365 ° sunset . It was erie,it was calming. It wa an experience. Maranatha

I listen to a lot of debates and videos from academics. But NONE of them can give me chills the way you do when you speak your monologues. You have a particular way of reaching the human heart, or soul, or something… that I’ve not found in any other speaker, and it’s this gift of yours that first introduced me to theology 2 years ago. I am moved by you, still.

This is my first time commenting and I would like to ask about do you have a scriptural basis for the beginning of life? I found one which is Leviticus 17:14, that life is in the blood. I took that to mean, possibly that the Bible defines life starting when the heart is beating with blood.
I agree with you that surrogacy is immoral or unethical. I am not convinced that we need to be super concerned about frozen IVF embryos. If God says life begins at the heartbeat, then that is a big relief for many infertile couples’ consciences.

I felt the exact same way, Allie. I knew it was going to be pretty, and we took our family halfway through the country to see what the hype was about bc everyone said you had to see it to understand. I absolutely did not expect to get emotional, but there I was staring at this massive black dot in the sky and this glorious white glow and tears streaming down my face. Other-worldly and gave me a profound desire to worship God’s power displayed in His creation. How great is our God. The saying is true, photos and videos DO NOT do the sight justice. It looks so tiny in them. It was awe inspiring and easily by far the most beautiful sight I have ever seen. I was able to take fantastic photos on mu DSLR that I cannot wait to process.

The way you felt fitting the eclipse is exactly how it affected me. I cried. I’ve been saying, from that moment, this is a glimpse of what imagine it will be like when Jesus returns.
My husband and I saw the eclipse in totality for over 2:00 in 2017 and it was almost inexplicable but you did a great job trying! You describe so many experiences that we had. And also I thank you for mentioning those who have gone onto glory since then including my husband. I know that he is experiencing the beauties of the universe in ways we can't even begin to understand. So thank you for your thoughtful monologue!
On another note, I have a friend who has two amazing children who were from IVF almost 18 and 20 years ago. They are both strong in their faith and leaders among their peers. I think the industry has probably changed a great deal since then because what they experienced then was not industrialized like it is now. I appreciate you tackling so many hard topics with candor and grace. Blessings!

@@TiffNicoleScripture is clear we will be taken up into the clouds after the apostasy (the Antichrist has authority on the earth for 3.5 years). Then we will get our new resurrected bodies and proceed right back down to earth with him in his triumphant processional to Jerusalem.

I lost my dad 6 weeks ago very suddenly to cardiac arrest. He was a believer and we got to see an explosion of faith in his life in his last years. Grieving his passing has been the hardest thing I’ve ever gone through next to battling postpartum depression. Thank you for the reminder and encouragement that our loved ones aren’t missing out on our lives here on this side of eternity.

I was reading the beginning chapters of Mark Twain's "Connecticut Yankee In King Arthur's Court" when the eclipse occured yesterday-and I was in Connecticut at the time! I was right at the chapter when the total eclipse occurs!

crazy you talked about the grief that hit. I felt the same way. lost my grandmother in 2022 and thought of the exact thing you did. however, I just lost my great grandfather March 24th of this year and lost one of my first grade students to a brain aneurysm on Easter of this year (March 31st). knowing that if things had been the way they should be, all of them would be with us made it bitter sweet. but they get a front row view to everything now.

Seriously though, I saw the Eclipse in Ohio and it was great. It was such a beautiful day, and awesome to see people in their yards on lawn chairs looking up, enjoying time together. It was a real blessing from the Lord.
I’m always so sad that my grandfather never got to meet my children. I lost a baby a year and a half ago and I can’t help but think that he or she is with my grandfather in heaven. He gets to take care of that baby for me while I take care of my earthly children

I too long for the day when Jesus comes and we are caught up in the air to meet with Him forever. My belief, based on the Bible informs us that when we die we return to the dust. The Bible refers to it as sleep, and when Jesus returns all who die and believe in Jesus will be raised from the dead and we which are alive will all be caught up in the air to all go home together. I didn't think te eclipse would be as moving as it was. In OKC, we only had what looked like skies before a tornado. But watching Dallas? That was - especially when the darkness went away and we watched light return, i just felt like God was showing Himself. Just my feeling. I was a bit jaded previously because every time anything odd happens, even our news people are shaken up by a tiny earthquake that didn't even knock a photo frame off a shelf :0)

Allie, please do a video on rapture! I’m interested in your thoughts. I was raised up Baptist and taught rapture theology but I am wondering about it actually being biblical.
Be careful not to allow her views to shape yours. I’m seeing a lot of people who admire her want to know her views almost as if they’re hoping her views will align with theirs or are willing to change their views. She’s also a Calvinist which is extremely problematic theology. Funnily enough, John MacArthur , a leading Calvinist absolutely believes in a pre trib rapture and has multiple part sermons refuting anti rapture views.
I would love her to do an episode. I came out of that belief after asking God to truly show me the truth in His Word, not just trusting what I’d been taught all my life. 4.5 years studying eschatology, it’s my biggest passion now and the pre trib rapture is not biblical.
@@Epic_Shotz John MacArthur and many other Western Bible teachers are just wrong on this. They have to insert their own ideas into the Bible. This is why people in other countries who have not been indoctrinated with this teaching don’t read the Bible and come up with a pre-trib rapture at all. They read the Bible and prepare their lives to endure until the end.

As a mother of two adopted boys, I am so thankful their birthmoms did not end their pregnancy. As for stopping a pregnancy,I can’t even imagine how difficult it would be. I have seen a mom who gave birth to a baby who was destined to die (no lung function)and he did die. When she got pregnant t again , the same condition was present and the thought of going full term only to have another baby die was too much. She did end up stopping the pregnancy. It was so sad for me. Not the choice I would have made and it’s taken me years to learn compassion for her. So, so sad.
Think what's interesting is that there seems to be at least 2 solar eclipses every year for the earth. Obviously not in the same spot but in different areas. Maybe shows all 8+ billion of us are eligible to enjoy God's kingdom and spectacular universe.

This is my argument for it:
There is a possibility for a gap between the rapture and the tribulation. Nothing has to happen for the rapture to occur. No prophecy must be fulfilled. Anyway, read these and go read what the original chapters are talking about.
1. The church doesn't need to be in the Tribulation.
Revelation 3:10 NIV
[10] Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come on the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth.
2. It will happen instantly, and Paul refers to it as a "mystery"
1 Corinthians 15:51-53 NIV
[51] Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed- [52] in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. [53] For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality.
3. It is a separate event from the Second Coming. Jesus will not set foot on the Earth
1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 NIV
[16] For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. [17] After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. [18] Therefore encourage one another with these words.
Bonus:
I believe, but cannot be certain that it is the church in heaven in Revelation 7. It just explains talks about the 7 churches and they are gone throughout the entire tribulation until Jesus comes back triumphantly in Revelation 19.
Many times, Matthew 24 is mistaken for the rapture, but this should clarify why it doesn't fit.

Legal immigrant here (25 years in the U.S.) who views voting as a great privilege in this country. However, before God, I refuse to choose the lesser of two evils on one of the biggest moral issues in Scripture: the sanctity of life. I can’t stand before Almighty God, the Creator and Sustainer of life, and say I voted for the guy who is ok with some baby murder for the sake of tighter borders, a better fiscal situation, educational choice, etc. and a surface-level nod towards God. I voted for him in 2016, 2020, and the recent primary, but this was the last straw. This will be the first General election in my 25 years in America that I will not be voting in. I WILL, however, continue to vote in local elections and for state representatives and senators who uphold Biblical principles openly and strongly. In Biden’s tenure, my state has voted for stronger Christian conservative state reps and senators and our abortion law was changed for the better as a result of these strong, newly elected leaders. So, on the national level, we have Biden and his ilk, but, on the local level, our state has been working hard against his despicable regime. I know my decision is a wildly unpopular opinion, but I say if everything in your conscience grates against whoever the options are for President, don’t offend your conscience, skip the General election, and continue to vote for local leaders.

It's ludicrous for modern "Christianity" to suppose that it's so weird that someone doesn't believe in a rapture when Christ or the apostles didn't teach it or prophesy about it. That is a doctrine that was invented and popularized by evangelicals. And like most evangelical doctrines, the rapture has no basis in truth.

Pres Trump did put in some of the judges that are pro-life too remember. His comment is a little odd and I don't agree with everything he says either, but he is still way better than anyone else I see in government.

I have a biblical meaning for the eclipse, God in his wisdom made the sun and the moon the perfectly right distance from each other so we could glorify him for it.

Besides voting (please do) we are called to PRAY. Let’s also pray for Mike Johnson - many senators have reported receiving threats (incl: death) and blackmail. It doesn’t make sense he has made a 180, but only God knows our hearts. However, If he indeed received some kind of threat I doubt he could relay. I’m guessing if he could communicate he would be asking believers to pray for him. Our prayers are more pwrful than one could possibly imagine.

Would you consider having Dr Jason Lisle on your podcast? He is a Christian astrophysicist, we have learned a tremendous amount of knowledge from him and our whole family would LOVE LOVE LOVE it if you have him on your show.
I haven't heard of him, will look. I love Hugh Ross. These great scientists get honestly curious and ultimately find there was a Beginning, so there must be a Beginner, as Dr Ross says.
I also love to listen to Dr. Lisle! I have been fascinated by his explanations of the universe, math, history, and the way it all proves the existence of God! How can we possibly deny Him when we search for Him and find beautiful facts and truth that could lead to no one else? Science isn't against God. Science proves the existence of God.
Both of these men are deceived by the religion of heliocentrism. Ross is an old earth believer and denies the young earth account of Scriptures.
I am SO HAPPY that you don’t believe in a pre-trib rapture. I’ve been wondering your thoughts on that, to be honest. The past 4.5 years I’ve done a very deep dive into eschatology and came out of the pre-trib false doctrine myself. You should definitely do an episode on it one day, I think many of your viewers would start to think differently and see what God’s Word truly says about it if you did an episode on it!

What do you believe about the rapture?
When you said you don’t believe in the rapture, it made me stop to wonder, am I wrong for believing in it? I need to find scripture to back that up. I know the word rapture is not in the bible but the idea of it is.

I was on drugs for a long, long time but I am finally clean thanks to the Lord
I always knew that I would, but I asked for it.
I have written from my experiences though.
After life
I beg the day in every way,
I plead the night to come.
I walk the gentle path and pray,
Until my day is done.
I’m down the hill and in the Space
Where echoes force my hand.
I wipe the tears up from my Face,
As He unfolds His plan.
Until the time when mountains speak!
And after what they’ve said.
The afterlife my heart does seek,

Could that be the reason for the feelings I have felt?
I think I'll lock the door and pull up the shade,
And try to clean up the mess I have made.
I Will flush all the pills and put a plug in The jug,
And keep my feet on the floor and my eyes up above!
Wintertime
The sitting sun splinters the Days of September,
Where they grays of winter await.
For my youth to surrender Its glory and splendor, and accept the throes of my fate.
I hang to each day, by a Weather worn frey,
For a glimpse of a Joy once Mine.
But the moments of a day are but traded away,
For echoes in the space of time.
So I graze with the flock, and keep pushing the clock,
In the hopes of the slowing of time.
But the time will not slow, nor a bow for the show,
