Great questions, parts are sourced through the dealer and conveniently a few folks race Moto3s in various series in the US. It’s a small community so I’ve learned a lot just talking with them. Regarding mechanic, I have a mechanic who I super trust, he does all the work on my RC8C but no experience with a Moto3 motor. The plan is to do a shakedown at Barber in a few weeks, if I fall head over heels and the Moto3 becomes my regular track bike then I think we will order a spare motor and can do swaps, while one is sent into Florida for service (Florida is where our moto3 dealer/mechanic is located). Hey man, thanks for watching. Moto3 prices can vary a bit based on history/pedigree and condition. On the lower end I’ve seen them around $30,000 (USD) and on the higher end like this one it’s closer to $45-50,000. This one was a bit higher priced since it was part of the VR46 Team, fully functional, and was refreshed prior to the sale. A local KTM dealership would not be able to service this - the GP engines are an entirely different animal than your standard production bike. Before buying, have a look around to see if there’s someone in your region or area that has familiarity with 250cc GP engines like Honda NSF250s etc. I’ve had a few laps on it and it is absolutely unreal. There’s the Formula 3, 2, and 1. Just from a performance perspective it would wallop any machine in F3 and 2, but would be a struggle against the sheer power of F1 bikes. Though at our level and at the size of the circuits we have, I don’t think it’s that big of an advantage. Moto3 bikes can turn a 2:16 at COTA so there’s still plenty of power!
@@sparkydelivers I'm going to take it out to MSRH in a few weeks, I think if it goes well, I'll probably enter it in a few races next season, I'll need to get a new set of bodywork though!
It is a mechanism to help prevent the rider from getting into a false neutral (can be very dangerous on track). The rider presses a button that allows them to shift from 1st to Neutral. Otherwise neutral is gated. On a road bike, the shift pattern is 1 > N > 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. On the Moto3 it is N > 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 with a gate between N and 1. Hope that makes sense!
Unfortunately I’ve only had the chance to ride it once at Barber. I just wrapped up my racing season and received the roller starter from Italy so now I can start the bike. 😅 I’ll be spending time on it and sharing vids with the moto3 in the coming weeks!
This one was a little under $50,000, though you can find retired Moto3s anywhere from $25,000 on up. It entirely depends on the condition, Team associated, and mileage (this one is under 900 miles and still in excellent shape + Rossi’s autograph). Thanks for watching!
Great question, apparently when it’s a cold start you need to use a roller to get the oil flowing a bit before firing it up, additionally it’s very hard in general to bump start it (cold) due to its very high compression. When it’s up and running and everything is warmed up I think it’s easier/possible to bump start (as we see in the races when the pilot has an off and re-enters the race).

Though at our level and at the size of the circuits we have, I don’t think it’s that big of an advantage. Moto3 bikes can turn a 2:16 at COTA so there’s still plenty of power!
@@vtranmoto So, can we expect to see it out there in 2023?
@@sparkydelivers I'm going to take it out to MSRH in a few weeks, I think if it goes well, I'll probably enter it in a few races next season, I'll need to get a new set of bodywork though!
@@vtranmoto I look forward to seeing you race it, if all goes well... and different bodywork for racing is a great idea!
Give the address where you got this BK
how much was this bike i saw recently they had Celestino Vietti Mooney vr46 moto2 bike for sale on there website to
The definitely a single cylinder of motogp engine. B x S = 81mm x 48mm = 250cc
Hows a single cylinder have 2 exhaust ?
Why noto3 use skinner tyre compare with consumer 250cc motorcyce on market
What is gated(locked) neutral?
It is a mechanism to help prevent the rider from getting into a false neutral (can be very dangerous on track). The rider presses a button that allows them to shift from 1st to Neutral. Otherwise neutral is gated. On a road bike, the shift pattern is 1 > N > 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. On the Moto3 it is N > 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 with a gate between N and 1. Hope that makes sense!
@@vtranmoto So the gear pattern is all down and not 1 up and 5 down.
@@himanshuborah1128 that's correct!
@@vtranmoto thank you sir for clearing my doubts...🙏
@@vtranmoto In some videos I have seen 7 gears in moto3 bike. Is it true? And is the gear system is all same in a MotoGP bike..
You're cool bro. I hope im rich enough to buy those kind of bike
Even just a test ride. Love your content
Really appreciate that, thank you!
I'm super curious after reading your maintenence section what is upkeep costs like after 4 months? How many miles do you have on it?
Unfortunately I’ve only had the chance to ride it once at Barber. I just wrapped up my racing season and received the roller starter from Italy so now I can start the bike. 😅 I’ll be spending time on it and sharing vids with the moto3 in the coming weeks!
Thats 💯
Thanks so much!
how to buy it in vietnam I want a try
What is bike price
Man that bike’s lighter than me for crying out loud
Bar race langsung kei koper banter
How much was it
This one was a little under $50,000, though you can find retired Moto3s anywhere from $25,000 on up. It entirely depends on the condition, Team associated, and mileage (this one is under 900 miles and still in excellent shape + Rossi’s autograph). Thanks for watching!
@@vtranmoto that is so cool I would love one of those
Can u not bump Start without a starter
Great question, apparently when it’s a cold start you need to use a roller to get the oil flowing a bit before firing it up, additionally it’s very hard in general to bump start it (cold) due to its very high compression. When it’s up and running and everything is warmed up I think it’s easier/possible to bump start (as we see in the races when the pilot has an off and re-enters the race).
@@vtranmoto oh ye that true I'm so gelous
In the KTM RC250R only Motorex oils and lubricants.
Idemitsu tuku o malah banter, tuku mu langsung setelah race...
Congrats bro,180 pound and 60bhp wow
Thanks Jatinder, yeah the specs are absolutely unreal.
How much it cost??
Total cost with the starter and shipping is over $50,000 USD 👍
@@vtranmotoFor what it is that’s actually not so bad. Awesome thing to have. 👍

Get that steed stripped and a new set of clothes on asap!
Haha good call, I’m going to take it to Barber next month. If it turns out I’m addicted to riding I think a second set of clothes will definitely be needed. 😁

you can't practice on a motorcycle there.
