- A short technical feature comparing the different engines in the Moto3 class, including interviews with Aki Ajo (Red Bull KTM Ajo Team Manager, KTM), Dirk Heidolf (Caretta Technology - Racing Team Germany Team Manager, Honda), and Emanuele Martinelli (Mahindra Racing Team, Mahindra engine).
Bike is so damn light pit-dude lifts bike right off the ground. lol.
Only the rear tire...the weight is concentrated on the front
sergiukawa exactly bro...
Only 80 kh though
engines explained ? NOT !!!! title of video is incorrect
Where are the explanations and comparisons???????
2:18 when Superman didn't have a job at Daily Bugle
200 llb bike with half weight on it's front wheel ...all he would be swing around up is like 100lbs ....right? .....not a behemoth pig bike like a production street motorcycle ....you'd give yourself a hernia! ...like man swinging his very young lithe dance partner around on a dancefloor....nothing to it ....right?....I mean (typically) that same gal several years later? FORGET ABOUT IT! lol
Well, for one, I would have preferred actual explanations and comparisons between the engines in Moto3... like the damn title says. Not this "It's better on some tracks" shit.
Amazing that a Single Cylinder 4 stroke Engine can put out 100hp... Back in 60's GP Racing Hailwood and Redman's Works RC166 6 cylinder Hondas were rated @ 65+hp with no Exhaust Restriction (Open Slow Taper Megaphones) What really boggles my mind is the fastest Recorded MotoGP topspeed is 224mph from Dovizioso's GP17 Ducati last year. That's faster than any NASCAR winged unrestricted Race Car has ever gone even at tracks like Talladega and Daytona. Hard to stay up with MotoGP Rules now days. I'm Old School so I still liked the 125,250,500 days when you didn't have to worry about the Noise Decibel Meter going through Tech ...
The moto3 bikes put out 60 hp
125gp : 70kg, >50HP
they weight about 190-200 pounds "90-100kg" "wet" which is a least limit the bikes can weight. pretty light to be just moving the back tire 90 degrees so it's about 50 kilos, yes.
I miss the Two-Strokes:(
Nobody use two strokes anymore today
Wtf the dude just lifts up the bike
hahahaha , strong man
I was in awe
they're given doses of amphetamine. helps them stay alert, feel less pain and so on.
They are only 250s...Basically performance scooters...I'm not knocking them. I like the different classes.
Cody Meadows but its weight is more than 80kg dude, could you just easily lift up a bike which weights half as much as it like that dude was lol
True. Except that moto3 replaces the 125 smokers which were about 5kg lighter, not the 250s.
KTM is now 46% owned by bajaj, they are looking at coming out with a 125-390 sports bike, including a 250 cc based on the moto3 bike.
And the funny part , we don't hv Mahindra bikes in India
The KTM clocks in at a healthy 83 KG with the Mahindra coming in at 81.
2:16 i wasn't expecting that.
FAIL, you didn't explain much, the only thing I learned here is that KTM is the better motor, pretty freakin' incomplete. What freakin' inturn put this together, he needs to go back to writing 101, or atleast the title is way off then. It should be, "professional quotes that KTM is the better moto3 engine", yikes, Dorna...how unprofessional.
2:17 😂😂 so light like a cycle but powerful too damn
the bike looks incredibly light! the technician can lift it by one arm. Can I ask what it's weight might be?
84kg
Moto 3 offers the best racing of all other series.
250gp : 100 kg, >100 HP
But its not just down to the bike, its the rider bike combined weight that is monitored like kiLo Watt pointed out.
Moto3 is about the weight of a 250gp, the power of a 125gp but with a double of cc
50cc : 55kg, 22 HP, 440 HP/l, >200 km/h
Title says "Engines explained and compared"...... Only thing about the engine i heard in the video - "ktm has more power", "engine is good, bike is fast"....... Seriously?
125 gp were around 70kg. bike+rider minimum 140kg. 250 were 100kg
The riders are closer to 55kg. I race Production 650 twins and I weigh 66kg at 30 years old and I'm 5'10". A couple of guys in their 20's that I race against are in the 55-60kg range. Guessing the bikes weigh 80-85kg as they would have to be heavier than the 125GP bikes which come in at 78kg.
Why not provide some thoughtful, actionable criticism instead of drivel about how great you are and could produce same at home? What would you like to see that would make the videos better?
What is their tire size?
same here i want to change my rear tire to 120 70 17 if im no mistaken .. is this the rear tire size of moto3 ?
90 or 100 front. 120 rear. Depends on if its a bridge stone or Pereili. Unless they changed it.
mind if i ask a stupid question : the cc?
250 1 cylinder
Because you typed it in and posted it. This is the comment section. You look here to read comments. Simple enough?
Bicycle tyres!
Tom what? Hahahahahah
Moto3 : 1.7kg/HP
Aljosa Fornazaric Wrong logic
2:18 is that really a motorcycle?😲
Wait a minute , one dude just lifted a bike
Is it that lite ?
Good
😍
Why did you cut the vid before the guy from Mahindra racing finished speaking
250gp : 1kg/HP
#😍😍😍
2:19 omg he so strong😱
KTM, Honda, Oral and Ioda
Why not using Honda 500cc two cylinders is perfect for Moto3
He only lifted the rear though, which is much lighter than the front. But still, looks light from the way he lifted it lol.
Dear moto3 go to a 350cc parallel twin thankyou
Zulfahmi khairuddin!!!
Please can someone explain to me why these single cylinder engines have 2 exhausts?
My guess is that they need 2 in order to get all the exhaust gasses and to reduce the back pressure that's created in the manifolds.
Honda X.L.s have 2 exhaust manifolds for a single 250 cylinder for better breathing. it's manufacturer's choice whether to go for zoomers (2 separate pipes) or a harmonic (y pipes that could scavenge extra energy back to the cylinder)
Same reason why we use 4 instead of 2 intake/exhaust valve, to increase the gas flow hence increasing the performance. Tp demonstrate this, remember how we tend to cover partial of water hose end so we can jet the water to remove dirty grimes on our bike.
Minimum total weight of Motorcycle + Rider: 148kg (Moto3)
125gp : 1.4kg/HP
250cc 50rwhp and top speed 200kmh+
almost haha, the more important aspect is almost the riders weight
Why do they idle at 3000 rpm??..
Because it's racing bike :)
The engine is overbore
250cc four strokes.
good night
There was no engines explained?!
My cbr600 weights 350lbs, and my friend can pick it right off the ground... but with 2 hands..
2:18那個力量也太大了吧
Hopefully FIM would opt for 300cc inline 2 moto3,750cc triple for moto2
For a triple to compete, 675cc ,unless rules changed. That's why you see a 600cc class 3 cylinders are always 675,if 4 cylinders 599.
WTF... the guy just picks the bike with one arm? Whats the weight on these bikes? 50kg?
Redbull team #63
My 125cc 4 stroke bike was 110kg++.. that's why I can't lift it
What is your bike? Mine has same specs as yours, Honda Supra X 125
Edit: my bike's weight is around 104kg
there same weight as the 125's just a 250 lump in a 125 frame
85-100 kgs maybe, with/without liquids
Well no sign of any engines in that vid what a con!! not even a pic of different exhaust mind you I can honestly say all the moto gp vids like this seem not to show what they say they are showing ever period lol glad I don't subscribe no wonder they release stuff free on U tube its not worth paying for......
??? chinese ??? ??? indian chief ??? !!! tickets !!!
??? Chest ??? $100 dollars for gas !!!
??? Cougar 4 legged ??? !!! Car !!!
??? Hurricanes ??? !!! Gas !!!
so in this "engines explained" video we learned nothing about these engines besides the obvious that ktm is faster
2:15 whattt
I was like WTF
Ridateci le moto a 2 tempi
2:15...bike or bicycle...
Bikecycle
Moto3
Haha, my friend can do that with her 2stroke 125 :L so light
Explains nothing. Compares nothing. Can I have the 4 minutes and 12 seconds of my life back.
Bout 65kg with fuel.
