This present would not have been possible without the efforts of Jim and his archive- so, on behalf of everybody who appreciates this video, thank you Jim.
So what's in this video? cITV presenter gets a special inside look at the making of films inside Shepperton Studios! The first segment of the show, he goes inside a studio with a giant Ten Cents tug on the building, and from there- all exclusive behind the scenes content on how the show is made, specifically whilst filming the episode "Up River".

When that TUGS main theme instrumental played at 2:03 the tears began to roll. Thank you so much for this!

Fun Fact: TUGS and S5 of Thomas the Tank Engine are both filmed in the same room at Shepparton Studios!

TheSudrian A0 cool and all, but I thought T&F was filmed at BlueBird Studios, the same place Bob The Builder was filmed? Eh guess I’m wrong!
It's alright if you didn't know.
The first series of TTTE was filmed at Clapham Junction, the second - twelfth series were later filmed at Shepperton Studios before Nitrogen Studios and Arc/Jam Filled in Canada took over for the rest of the show.

I never thought I'd see the day when I would see this. I love this and now we see what Chris Tulloch looks like. He is a great person to have on the set and what a guy David Mitton is. I must applaud you for bringing this to us as it is amazing to see the special clips and preparations that are part of the show 🙂.

I just remembered this video existed, it's absolutely magical.
(I feel like the reason Zorran is cross during the interview is because Chris Tulloch is using the Big Mac controller during the demonstration if you look closely.)
Looking at this, I *now* would have *killed* to work on this. Looks like a huge model toy shop that you play with to make a children's TV programme!
A monumental thank you to yourself and Jim. Seeing behind the scenes of this show really showcases just the level of thought, passion, and expertise needed to really bring everything together. And who would think that years after this was filmed a group of fans would obtain so many of these artifacts? It’s honestly a dream. Thank you for sharing this with the world and the community. Amazing, I would’ve loved to have worked on a programme like this.
I think the convenience of modern CGI has taken a lot of this magic away.
The production of this *very does* look like such great fun! I *do* long for the days of pre-CGI world in children's television animation. Saying that, some modern CGI kids programmed *can* still be great (I *really* like Netflix's "Go, Dog, Go!"). Just depends on what how they do it and how they do go about it (e.g. shit like "Fireman Sam").
Just coming back here, I still find it crazy how much was seen when this first came out. it really was a CRAZY time!

Thanks for the rare find lad. We still have the TV Stars with us in The Star Tugs Trust Community except Top Hat and Grampus are missing.
I wish they showed the voice actors for the series and original recordings of them doing there roles for the series

Most of the same crew that me the delights of "Thomas" growing up. 😥Also remembering renting "TUGS" once or twice from the video shop. Complete with the "grind of doom" Castle Vision ident. Saying that, I *wasn't* flat-out scared of it, just weirded out.

I wish they had made more episodes of TUGS. It had so much potential to become something much more bigger than it was. Shame that they went bankrupt, I wish Britt Alcroft had bought the rights to TUGS.
*And still no official DVD release as of 2023!* Not to mention "Shitty's Outhouse" being shown on Channel 4 during the early 2000s in the UK maybe did *quite a bit* of it in also.
