Ah my favorite kid's show where a naval tug bullies everyone and later causes everything to f*cking blow up and die and then gets towed away after he gets vietnam flashbacks Also I noticed there's more narration and music in some parts than in the vhs release of this episode
The 20-minute VHS releases were released early, to help keep the studio afloat until the series could air on TV (it’s why we only have 4 20-minute episodes). Since they were released earlier in production, you do see some minor differences outside of the cuts made for time. I think it’d be interesting to see how many differences there are in each episode total.

It's that and the explanation how Big Mickey survived that lead me to think they made those changes when re-editing the episode for it's TV version since episodes as they were then didn't reflect the show as it was by that point when it came to the TV airings given plans had changed or fell through, such as Big Mickey becoming Snatcher for Ghosts.
