This piece is from a showreel video for Castle Communication's brand new video label, "Castle Vision", which would launch on June of 1988. The tape was generously donated to us from the former GM of Castle, who graciously let us preserve its contents. Out of the entire reel, this is the only TUGS related content.
You will notice this trailer utilizes the infamous "Sizzle Reel", albeit in a shortened form. While we are happy to share a high quality version of this coveted piece, we understand the possible disappointment from not presenting it in it's complete form. Please be assured, we did not cut or alter the viewing contents of this piece; it is presented as-is on the reel itself. A sympathetic restoration was undertaken in preparation for proper scaling. Since the source material is VHS, we felt it extremely important to preserve as much of the original tape characteristics without it getting butchered by UA-cam's compression. Please watch this find in 4K.
We hope in light of this release, those who have the whole thing can come forward and allow for a complete viewing of this historic piece.

Man 2022 is sure a year of lost media found its amazing how TUGS Project is able to restore and preserve parts of TUGS history

Even if it technically doesn't have much else new to show, it's still an amazing find and I'm glad it's been preserved! I hope Dad's seeing this too.

This is a very interesting piece of previously-lost media. And seeing as I'm also really interested in Castle Vision as a label, I wonder what the rest of the reel outside of the TUGS section is like?

to think if the tugs expedition weren't so fucking possessive shout factory would've made a complete series DVD I can totally see the sizzle reel being a bonus feature if that ever happens it'll be because of the tugs project
For a great of year it was for Tugs lost media in 2022, I'm more excited to know that we now have an official opening sequence that utilizes the early demo theme with Ben O'Donnells' monologue, which was only ever available in audio on Mikes channel

This Was A Promo That Contained A Bit Of Footage From The Sizzle Reel. The TUGS Project Did Not Cut Out Any Missing Scenes.

@@BoyTrain872 They are true, these guys have confirmed it several times. Besides, most of the people apart of TUGS Project are people who want the Star Tugs Trust (now called TUGS: The Exhibition) to release the full copy of the Sizzle Reel they have.

@@Ink-454 it sounds a bit like David Mitton because I heard in an interview during production and his voice sounded a bit similar to the one heard here
@@JosephRailwayStudios2000 I doubt it's David, it's probably Lee Cornes doing a deeper voice, it's simaler to the coast guards if you listen.
