No it is safe if you have properly checked the contraindications before using it

how can laser be athermal??? their are in the properties of laser in many books in which it is mentioned as thermal properties of laser. ...sometime what you are teaching is very wrong
If you will look at the physiological effects of laser therapy then it is clearly mentioned that it shows athermal nature and creates a photochemical effect.
And please mention those books which say laser is a thermal modality
please read laser in khokhar , physiological effects the very first point is heating.... although its reversible..but it give heating effect for sometime
First of all everything is made of energy so just like that laser beams also have energy in them and when they strike to tissues then tissue absorb that energy and their temperature increases and the word athermal essentially mean when we use this modality on patient it does not create heating sensation on patient and work on photochemical effect unlike other modalities such as hydrocollator pack, SWD and that’s why LLLT often referred as “cold lasers”
