She reminds me of Steve Nash on offense, play style and body type tbh. Not that strong or tall, (but not short), very slim frame, but extremely smart IQ, good passer and dribbler, and shoots well. The difference is her defense is really great too. Steve Nash’s D was average at best

Meghan Culmo is the female color analyst and a former UConn player from the early/mid 90's. Instead of commenting on the play of the team or an individual, she often bases her observations on what she thinks Geno will like or dislike. The announcer, in his 2nd year, also falls into the same trap. I want someone to describe the action and make insightful comments about THE game that is occurring and the plays that are happening. I don't want to hear comments like, "I don't know why Nika didn't take that shot"; these are all young women ages 18 - 21 or 22, they're not professionals. And, especially the freshmen; they're still trying to acclimate to the full college experience and play for one of the most demanding (and successful) coaches in all of sports. And considering all of the changes and interruptions of the last year b/c of Covid, I admire how well this team is playing and growing. We just don't need a negative opinion or comment, unless it is based upon personal observation and not on how one thinks what the Head Coach's reaction might, or will, be.

Paige B can be Kobe to Dianas Michael ok? im not saying Paige is going to be better than the best player in WNBA history, not at all, what i am saying is that in MY OPINION this kid looks to be the most explosive scorer i have ever seen. she is making circus layups pulling up from mid range with extreme is and is the already elite at shooting threes of the catch, fastbreak, the rhythm she has is so natural and honestly for her to drop back to back 30 pt bombs shows you that she is already ready for the best defenders in the WNBA. Kobe tried to be better than Mike and Paige will try to be what DT is but im saying this - the girl has the explosive scoring power that we have never seen before. if she can become the floor general, defender, elite passer that DT is then she will indeed be better and be the best player in league history. thats the potential there is.
also i can name 3 more explosive scorers than DT from her era. maybe even 5.
@@zenodee She also has the 2 highest scoring seasons in WNBA history and is the only player to reach or surpass 24 points per game in a WNBA season (did it twice as well). Longevity is the reason she will likely be the all time leading scorer for a very long time, but that doesn't change the fact that she is also the most explosive scorer in WNBA history as well.

Stable performance
Imagine her senior year from now...
Paige is singlehandedly making women’s college basketball (and soon to be WNBA) fun to watch. She’s changing the sport which will push it to the next level. Shoe deal, sports drink, etc. She’s paving the way (finally) for women’s team sports superstars. Bravo.
As far as I know, Bueckers will have to spend four years at UConn because the WNBA has no mechanism for early entry. The good scenario would have Bueckers entering the league as Taurasi leaves. The bad scenario would be a Grant Hill-type injury to Bueckers before she gets to the WNBA.
WNBA was always fun. Women's college basketball was always fun. There have always been supremely talented players but you've been ignoring them as did majority of the population. Paige isn't single-handedly doing anything. There so many other amazing athletes in womens basketball that make college basketball fun to watch. Ignorance and overconfidence isn't a cute look. I agree she's doing an amazing job and i agree she paving a way through womens sports but lets not act like she was the first one. There have always been women of paige's calibar, women who have been overlooked ad underappreciated because she was female.
