      Bears "manhandled" the Huskies, in an extremely physical match. The refs clearly signal early in the game that they were going to let the physical team win, which greatly favored and virtually assured that the Bears would win. Ironically, the last play should have been a foul in virtually any other game, but following the pattern already established, it was not a foul and I agree. To me, this level of aggressive and physical play is not basketball.

      Yes, they didn't call Edward's block on Carrington, and they didn't call Carrington Charging Paige and knocking her on her backside....
      The look on Carrington's face was priceless when Edwards blocked [fouled] her shot... she was sitting there, and looked like she was saying "Hey... c'mon... where's the foul call ??" 😂
      Well Carrington, you fouled Bueckers... twice and no call... now you get fouled and no call. It's a physical game... thank the refs!

      I'm pretty sure that was Carrington the Baylor player closing out on her, that didn't sound like Paige's voice. And i think she said something like "shut the fuck up" dunno if she was insinuating that Paige's shot wasn't gonna fall (which might be why Paige bumped her going back after she hit it) or she was talking to someone else. Maybe Paige said something that we didn't pick up and she was responding.
      But either way , her and Paige were going back and forth the entire game and even in the final possession Paige grabbed the outlet pass and threw it up in the air while turning and screaming in her direction and you can see Carrington was pulling at Paige's jersey during that whole play.

  • @northerniggy8261
    @northerniggy8261 3 роки тому +10

    Great game, too bad it was so early in the tournament. Refs were consistent about calls, Baylor coach & players are not rookies, they know its a risk to rely on getting a foul call, and they benefited from plenty of no-calls themselves. 19-0 run with no time-outs, no calming the troops after their PG left from a pulled muscle, and then no 2nd option to the final drive. Plenty of things the Baylor coach and players could have tried... decided to go with what they were doing the entire game.. and the refs did the same thing. Bad form to blame the refs for one call to bail them out of a bad situation. Coaching Rule #1, never rely on the refs.
