i never heard of angel martinez, never heard of hinds. i checked they have like 10 hits in their entire rookie campaign, only hit .250 in minor leagues, projected low power, low average.
yamal is again like pedri (too much pressure on 15 year old), dominguez overrated, skenes is in wembenyama overhype mode. Pass on all of them

and ive looked at the Rece Hinds 2020 mojo auto.. a bunch this week... almost bought I a few times.... just hoping he don't Aquino on the Reds... I bought a couple of his autos and He Dissappeared... but yeah he's Killin it...

Hinds spends 5 years in the minors, and people don't think anything about him or project him to be a top prospect. Then he plays in 7 MLB games and people are lined up to buy his cards like he's a future hall of famer. How is that possible? Will collectors pay ridiculous amounts for any random rookie that gets off to a really hot start?

Collections since I was a kid 40 years ago chased & drove up prices of flash in the pan rookies that never materialized… this is nothing new. Part of the reason in the past few years I picked up UD rookies of Jerome Walton & Kevin Maas & Topps rookies of Gregg Jeffries for the nostalgia

@andrewreid895 yeah I collected cards from that era too. Just like everyone else I had Brien Taylor, Ben Mcdonald, Todd Zeile, Eric Anthony, and the list goes on. Those cards were only valued at a handful of dollars and you could easily pull them from a cheap box. I can understand if someone spends maybe $50-100 on Hinds but there's people spending $4,000. I don't think it's the same

Hey man. I'm new to this and done a few weeks of research and haven't pulled the trigger on buying yet. Of all the UA-camrs I value you're opinion over the others. What boxes would you recommend someone brand new like me to start with? I'm not in this to make money necessarily but to have fun and if I make a few bucks a long the way than great.
