Good info and update. Bought 2024 after wanting a Mach E since it came out. 5k off with manufacturer rebate. Got extended range rear drive Premium and like it so far.
Which recalls? Here’s the ones I’ve had: ua-cam.com/video/8N0ue3dwfIY/v-deo.htmlsi=MOFUjf6t7qUq7HrR After that first year or so (2022-2023) it’s been pretty quiet and haven’t had any issues with mine.
Ford does seem to be trying to improve vehicle materials and build quality. We will see if they continue this strategy and if their quality improves across the board.
I’m curious to see how the heat pumps do in the real world. I’ve only had my 2024 Premium Standard range AWD for just over two months, but living in Minnesota really makes me wonder about a heat pump.
Yeah, ideally the motors, battery, heat pump, AC, cabin, and any other components that generate heat are all connected on the same coolant lines so the heat can be added/removed from the right places. Not sure exactly how Ford implemented it on the Mach-E.
I absolutely love my 2024 Mach E, but I don't think I would buy another one in the future. Blue cruise is light years behind Tesla software. I had the 3 month trial and it was awful. The regular navigation is wonky, like really wonky. The other day it took me on the worst route every through places I didn't need to be and took literally twice as long to get to my destination that it should have. I do love the fit and finish and overall look and comfort of my Mach E, no complaints there at all. My complaints are 100% towards the software and navigation. Great video as always!
I have a Tesla Model 3 and love the look of the Mach E but I'm spoiled by the software updates and tech. I would miss so many features. I'm just trying to wait around hoping the tech improves a bit more. But I absolutely love the look of the Mach E compared to Tesla's look. Plus the build quality is better.
@@quickpstuts412 there is no other car out there with software close to Tesla for sure! I love my Mach E except for the software issues, otherwise it's a fantastic car. I won't get rid of it, that's for sure, but at this point I wouldn't buy another one.
@Annette_Hons Yeah, I only use the Mach-E’s navigation for battery/range estimates when road tripping and to precondition the battery before arriving to a fast charger. For finding anything in town or more complex navigation I use my phone through CarPlay. Sorry the BlueCruise experience was not good. My car is running version 1.3 and on the highway it’s pretty good when in hands free mode. It does lane changes well, repositions in the lane around large trucks, etc. But off highway or in non BlueCruise mapped areas, it’s pretty limited
@ Good to know. It will still probably be my next car. It's just a question of "when." I heard they had a record number of sales in Q4 last year so that made me feel good.
Before the Mach-E I had a ‘10 Mustang GT with the 4.6. Both cars are great depending on what you want to use them for. Really miss the V8 sound, but love the Mach-E for the family
I'm surprised Ford are still selling them - they've been a sales disaster. They certainly don't deserve the 'Mustang' name either AND they're way too expensive.
Its model y for me, much better more efficient and better value than mustang. Until ford gets their act together, like nacs built in, better efficiency, lower price,
The Model Y is a great car. The improvements to the Mach-E in ‘24 and ‘25 with the new rear motor and heat pump should definitely help with the efficiency. I have a video here comparing my Mach-E and a Model Y: ua-cam.com/video/ytzVNFcXuhE/v-deo.htmlsi=dRV2MOMzMpuNvcok

My Mach e had 7 recalls in the last 3 years so it spent more time at the main dealer garage than my 1977 Mercedes in its 48 years life.
So that means you have a PRE 2023 model. I've heard 2023 and later got much better.

Great job thanks!
TY for info. I live in Florida so the vented seats would be a big plus for me.
Heat Pump is better then a frunk. Waiting on the 2025. It is on the top of my list.
I sat in a 2025 GT @ Detroit AutoShow and was leaning towards a Kia/Hyundai but I’m reconsidering the Ford is sweet.

@@gulfmex1 we owned a 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid and that vehicle was bulletproof…

Yeah, same here. Will be interesting to see. I’d love to do some testing compared to my ‘22 if I can get my hands on a ‘25!
Owning a 2024 f150 lighting and living in Alberta love the heat pump at these -30C weathers
So you’re still using the A/C as a heat source , that still uses battery power
Could you use the coolant for the electric motor, which is free heat

@quickpstuts412 The Tesla software is awesome. Totally agree. I also like how the Mach-E looks too.

I prefer to have a Mustang with a 5.0 Coyote V8!!!

That's because you're an old dinosaur
I drove a 24 GT. Fast as my Vette but silent
Personally, I wouldn’t mind having both of them. Electrical and coyote
Thanks Boomer!
This is NOT a mustang.
My first video is on this topic! ua-cam.com/video/5lEyt3q6yZo/v-deo.html

It just recently outsold the gas Mustang in 2024: electrek.co/2025/01/09/fords-mach-e-ev-outsold-gas-mustang-first-time/
