The amazing world of fuckin gumball has more interesting social commentary than this, and that showrunners had the chops to actually make the narrative self aware enough to know when characters are acting like narcissistic bellends. The whole "pushups for misgendering" scene shows how tone deaf the writers are and defeats the point of not "making it about you". What is it with woke people going "eVeRyThInG iS wOkE" to everything that is top tier propaganda?
Instructions from a red book
1) leftists create a term
2) the term is used so much it enters popular lexicon
3) due to leftist hypocrisy and overuse, the term starts referring to leftist propaganda
4) leftists erase history by claiming they never used the term, and the right should stop using it.
5) leftists come up with new term.
Communism's, Post Modernism, anti racism, woke, and now Progressivism. The next brainrot is BRIDGE.

In which in this case I am for.
Someone bring me the popcorn, this is gonna be fun!
It already is beyond repair
@@Sinner987 Nah, it wasn't. Andromeda was garbage, but the general consensus was "Ea rushed them, so it's just EA doing EA things". Anthem was bad, but again, for the most part the blame was on EA for making Bioware do something way out of their wheelhouse. But this? What, 8 years in development? And the genre that made Bioware Bioware. There's no excuse here other than Bioware being a hollow shell of what they used to be.
a children’s game jam-packed with overt genderqueer indoctrination
Wasn't DA rated R once?
@@wrongthinker843 that's the worst part. This is rated MA, but it feels like a teen show with "dark" topics. Yet all the dark topics are milquetoast at best. Actually no, that's an insult to animated tv programs in general; SpongeBob had more character conflict than DA: Veilguard, unironically. This game feels like it's an interactive video made in the 90s-2000s, war on drugs/anti bullying school assembly era. Just vapid, tone-deaf, patronizing, and human™. At the very least you could laugh at those, this one just beats you over the head with pandering topics that you don't care enough about (or are taught to show disdain for over time through their own fault), while preaching to a choir that's NOT there.
Gotta get em while they're young
As much as i cant stand these people, DA was never for kids. The original was criticized because the characters walked around for most of the game covered in blood.
@TotesRandom my comment was referencing something from the video, i forget where tho, they were discussing how the characters talk and behave like characters in a children’s cartoon show: there’s no real conflict, everyone is friendsies, everyone only ever seems to talk about the role they perform in simple terms, oh yeah, unless they’re bombarding the player with extreme feminist/genderqueer theory and trying to f ck each other

@@swerve3031 70k sales for one of the biggest RPG franchises is low. Baldurs Gate 3 was 870k so Veilguard should at least have reached a third of that. New AAA IPs like Helldivers easily cross 70k.
@@emperorarasaka There's a lot wrong in your statement. First of all i assume you're mentioning "70k" because those were day 1 steam numbers. that's not listing sales, nor any console numbers. this game currently has "mostly positive" reviews on steam. i believe that is entirely artificial though. it should sort itself out with time.
I’ve been giggling like a maniac waiting on the fallout from this trash. It’s like Christmas for me.
I remember when people were calling the Fallout show and the Mandalorian woke, but I honestly don't think they were. I'd say the term is overused somewhat. But, a fantasy game which lectures you about pronouns, literally has the term "non-binary" in it, and has the option for your character to have mastectomy (top surgery) scars- if that's not woke, I don't know what is.
Why is the last part woke? I dont get it?
The lecture and preaching yeh it is offputting... Reminds me of those religous shows and games... eww.

DEI kills creativity by pushing agenda over good story, good gameplay, good artwork, and good hiring.
Shouldn't the best ideas, artwork and employees be picked?
Everyone should be able to agree with this.
It's common sense.
It's why we're closing our wallets to ANYTHING DEI.
DEI is not the problem but r3t4rded writing, this game's writing is awful
@eidiazcas DEI is most definitely a problem.
It is literally prejudice; instead of using merit and qualification to decide someone worth, they use race, sex and sexual preference. "White" people do not benefit from DEI - it's literally discrimination. The people who push this are actually racist and sexist.
But I'm supposed to believe that they're marginalized? They're the most privileged group on the planet, right next to illegal aliens and islamists.
Bg3, Space marine 2 and literally the 3 previous games in this setting are all full of DEI...

I’ll remind that Veilguard has to do EXCEPTIONALLY well to make its money back, hell just to make even it has to do really well. It went through at least 2 development cycles and was in development for over 10 years. I heard this game cost $200 million to make but that seems way too low chances are that was the cost for the most recent cycle, not all of them.
Bare in mind that even if it does sell decently, it will be the first somewhat successful game in a decade so it also needs to make up not only for its self but also the money they ranked on Andromeda and Anthem lmao
they havent totally killed the Dragon Age IP yet, but this will do it
On Steam, at this Time it stands at 66,370. Hopfully it is not enough for EA.
