Footage of the FNS Varian Scott during the Battle of HIP 22460
Almost 40 minutes of footage of the FNS Varian Scott being active in the Conflict Zone, shooting at Thargoids.
Sadly, I do not have any footage of the Majestic Class Capital Ships in action in HIP 22460
The videos were recorded in E:D Horizons 3.8
Nice lightshow, but they dont seem to pack much punch versus those thargoids dont they?
Those captial ships seem to be a bit underpowerred, one would expect to melt those realative tiny ships in a few seconds, but no such thing here...its like having BattleStar Galactica armed with bb or airsoft guns.
capital ships were nerfed some time ago for gameplay reasons and the AI doesn't seem to target weak spots or hearts of the thargoids. they are more than capable of destroying scouts however which is weird
Well according to the lore these are just experimental AX capital ships.
@@brummyuk2151 i always hear people praising elite dangerous, starfield and no mansky whilst making fun of star citizen... i played elite dangerous and while it was cool it is as you said. Its like they... neutered the game whilst it had so much potential.

for a dev to nerf anything is bull shit. they should've thought about the specs before release not after.
Its insane that a Farragut-class capital ship cannot destroy a Hydra.
They don't have AX weaponry, and Thargoids have 99% damage resistances to most human weapons...

It's not even the Hydras that's silly. Any time you see their weapons converging on a small point it's them shooting at SCOUTS and not killing them.
RIP FNS Varian Scott. I fought many battles around that majestic ship. Now she's a derelict hulk.
i remember my first time seeing a federal ship years and years ago when i first picked up the game. i accidentally fired on it and it incinerated me in one go
This looks awesome imo, this is what it should be at every capital ship close to thargoid and in thargoid system, some action!
Just the sheer heat transfer alone from those massive laser beams ought to be enough to melt the Thargoids into a puddle of brightly glowing liquid metal very, very quickly.
If that battleship fired those lasers at my Krait Phantom I'd be incinerated instantly.

got a lifetime sub, but haven't played in years (pre thargoid actually) ... 30min battles with seemingly toothless capital ships really doesn't make me wanna come back :(

It's absolutely wicked to see a federal Corvette battleship fighting the thargoids but it doesn't seem to be able to do much damage, plus it looks like a mini Star Wars Republic Ventilator, 😏 sweet!!!

No, Thargoids have 99% damage resistence against most human weaponry, and dedicated AX weapons are required to defeat them. These lasers would melt your ship in seconds.

Why Frontier doesn't propose to have that ship too even if it's expensive to have something strong enough to defeat thargoids as all of them are minimum elite rank so even my Anaconda with engineers upgrade will that's not easy against bigger thargoids ship

Ah yes, elite dangerous. Where fights are 40 minutes of chipping at eachothers shields because firepower is not existent.

@@filipbitala2624 I gave up on elite after I farmed corrosive multis for my corvette. I've put 335h in it and it looks like I'll have to put twice that time just to get something that is remotely viable. Fuck that grind, it's worse than an EA game.
@@VonWipfenfels the reason EA games are bad is becaude they are P2W, this isnt, you are obviously complaining just to complain, and i have put around 800hrs to the game, and even at 400 i had a viable ship, its true that without engineering they dont have much damage, but the enemy doesnt either, so calling it non-viable just shows how bad you are

@@filipbitala2624 I know lol. It's one size one corrosive/range multi cannon to keep applying debuff and the rest overcharged. But no, elite has potential but the content is shallow and the grind is not excusable. I'm not spending more time on a game that is as shallow as elite, a big world to explore can't fix that.

They need to remake the game in unreal engine 5 or make a follow up with todays gameplay possiblities.

Yeah i played elite, it just kinda seems empty though. Like yeah you can fly around to a bunch of proceduraly generated moons and explore flat terrain but why would i. The quests and rep are problably better but idk man server wide events in star citizen are pretty crazy@@yourfbiagent2053
