Sry not a native speaker, so "distorted" might not be the right word, but in other videos the CMDRs tried to use (almost only energy) weapons and they were rendered useless due to some defense (?) technology. They looked distorted, warped, split, don't know... Edit: Looked it up. Can't post the link here though. If you are interested just search for Elite Dangerous: Attacking Unknown ship test by Nova Dragon. At 1:48 he starts his attack on the Unknown ship.
The camra man was powered down it appears he has friends hiding up in orbit and around the area that rammed it to prevent it jumping to witch space. Weapons seemed almost completely ineffective though, so killing these in the future might need to be a team effort (like a hog hunt in the middle ages).
Precious little difference to how human colonizes planets or moves around in space. The way they erect barnacles on planetoids is just how we built outposts, their probes aren't that unsimilar to our satellites.

Did anyone tried to wakescan the incoming or outgoing jumppoints ? ... it would be wise to attack in mass since we are clearly a hostile and volatile species. I would be totally fine with highly overpowered ships and Battlegroups making hit and run attacks on border systems around the bubble. People always cry out for more realism and true consequences in games. Here´s the chance .... Some stupid few that can´t ( or won`t ) be restrained take agressive actions against a unknown force that is vastly more powerful and doesn´t show ANY agressive behavior so far. At the moment our actions are the greatest threat out there. Looking forward tho see the Bubble burst ....

They won't say that it was human fault, since the war cost a lot of lifes. Nop. In fact, we shot them, and they were patient enough to not kill us directly, they waited a little, but since we kept attacking them, eh... They shot back. Suppose we'll never learn.

Not sure if anyone noticed, but it looks like it keeps itself tethered to the "tear" or "portal" or whatever it is they jumped out of and back into. The whole time that portal was open and had some sort of tethers attached to the Thargoid ship.
Awesome this shows that you can prevent them from entering witch space if you can intercept them before they jump, you just need a large ramming ship though, and it looks like this is going to have to be a team effort to take them down and pin them.
They should make it where thargoids start attacking bases and setting up near planets (earth). But they're also unkillable. Like they have some advanced tech.
It would be so cool if later on we're allowed to capture/own one and go through the process of learning how to fly it. ---I say "capture" because there's no way negotiating is still on the table!! XD haha.
very similar to the event I had and recorded over 2 weeks ago I had looked up about the extra green "ropes" and there was noting at the time and so I thought that it was a glitch. but now I see that this is more common now.
Nice attempt to look in the cockpit. at 5:10 there seems to be a dark "head" shaped object just above the pink opaque part of the canopy, with grey looking tendrils or even "wings"? hard to tell, but very interesting. Of course unsure about scale and size of the aliens, or if these even have a crew. nice capture.
