I watched this and other videos featuring Brian Clark and his story one evening a few years ago. The next morning, my dad and I went golfing at Great Gorge in Vernon, NJ. When dad and I were done, we hopped in the car and dad decided to ride up to the clubhouse so he could use the restroom before the ride back home. As I waited in the car, staring down at my phone, I hear a golf cart pull up right beside me, and I suddenly hear Brian Clark’s very unusual voice. I immediately looked up and to my left, and sure enough, it was him. I said, “Excuse me,” and he kinda looked at me perplexed. I asked if his name was Brian and he said, “Um…yes, Im Brian. Im sorry, do I know you?” I told him that the previous evening I watched several UA-cam videos featuring him telling his account of 9/11. He was a very nice man and opened up to me right away after I told him. He was just as surprised as me. Less than 24 hours prior I was watching this guy in videos, where I noticed how unusual his vocal pitch was when he spoke. It was so bizarre. Anyway, I asked him for any recommendations on UA-cam where I could hear his best or most favorite account. He told me to search “Brian Clark Mesquite,” which was a school where he spoke on camera in front of the student body. He said he was “just on that day” when he spoke. It’s a pretty long video, maybe 35 minutes or so if I remember correctly. Again, almost a surreal moment. When my dad came back to the car, he was all confused. He’s like, “who the hell is this guy?” Lol. I told him and we all chatted for a minute. I asked him about Stanley and he said Stanley was doing well and that he’d seen him recently. Very nice guy. I’ll never forget that experience.
Love this! Thanks for sharing your story about Brian. I was 8 years old when the twin towers were hit so I didn’t really understand what was going on at the time. I’m 30 years old now & I just recently started to look into 9/11 & it’s actually mind blowing. The first 9/11 story I came across was Brian & Stanley, I was really moved by it & I’d love to meet them both one day. I’ve never been to America. I was born & raised in New Zealand but I’m hoping to make it to NYC this September for the 23rd year anniversary of 9/11🕊️
Brian and Stanley were each other's angels that day may God continue to bless them and their families I'm so glad they both survived to tell their testimony

Such an amazing escape considering he was on one of the directly impacted floors on the South Tower and so good of him to save another person's life. Also seems like such a likeable person and I always enjoy listening to his story of that day.
Had the pleasure of hearing this story directly from Brian many years ago in Peru. It stuck with me all these years until I saw this video. Listen to Stanley´s story as there are pieces not in Brian´s story. Nonetheless, all those years ago, Brian mentioned some of the details from Stanley´s story. Amazing. Brian, thank you for being faithful and sharing your story with so many.
Interesting Story: If you listen to Mellissa Doi 911 call (who died in the South Tower) was just one floor below Brian on the 83rd. Totally different experience just one floor down. Actually, there is evidence from her 911 call that she actually heard Brians group in the stairway. Unfortunately, she was immobilized by fear and stayed on the phone with 911 hoping (with several others) to be rescued by the fire Dept..
He didn't mention that.. But hopefully he is..He didn't also mentioned that God gave him a second chance to live for a purpose maybe he hasn't figured that yet
So far the story of Brian and Sranley is the best story of the 9/11 survivors. Also, they told their story so well and to the point!!!! Incredible luck and good decision making!!!!

There were only few people including Mr. Clark escaped through the stairway A which was only passable. The people in the south tower missed the two crucial chances to survive, the first was a immediately after the north tower hit until the next hit coming, and the second was a stairway A. That means how horrific impact of the first hit to the north tower punched people's heart and brain. It's understandable.
South Tower people were asked to return to their offices as well so many did - If it was known it was a plane more could have escaped from the South Tower possible - 17 minutes - both Towers were short of fire escapes too - 3 instead of 4 and they were too narrow and not properly fire resistant. That is a problem with all these skyscrapers - I know Towering Inferno is a movie and different circumstances of course but the same problem existed - evacuating and rescuing people on floors above the fire or impact and the lack of adequate fire escapes, training and drills for fire- where all the fire escapes are/what to do and not what to do in fires - don't use elevators/don't go back for items/ evacuate the building no matter how small the risk is

Not quite sure he's wearing makeup - there seems to be some type of fog filter on the camera or added while editing. Makes him look weird and washed out.
“How precious life is and that’s what I tell people really appreciate your life, take a deep breath and understand who u are and you are capable in doing great things” some words to take with but Brian was such a great man and a husband to begin with u can’t see him crying while sharing his story during his darkest day way back 9/11 tragedy because as what he said though sadness lingers he don’t dwell too much about it but to be thankful after 10 yrs he’s standing still looking back and count that every day is a great day. Those people who abandoned Brian on the 81st floor probably went to the top of the building and realized the doors to the roof were locked and probably stayed there hoping that the fire dept would come with thier helicopters and break the door down

It was the only staircase that went to the top because the plane didn’t hit that corner of the building. They went to the top and after seeing it was locked, they laid down close to the floor because they thought they would get oxygen that way. But they started to fall asleep. I know this because after leaving Brian, his coworker Ron went up and met them. As they started to fall asleep he said he heard a voice calling his name and he ran down the stairs. Right as he left the building it collapsed. He was blown across the street and woke up in the hospital a few days later. He was the last person out of the building. Anyways it’s been 3 years so hopefully you’re still alive and can read my amazing comment. Ha. :)
I've heard different versions of Clark's coming across Jose. Hindsight is 20/20 and you never know what goes through the mind in such a tragic situation. My only question is if Jose was in communication with Vera on the walkie-talkie, why didn't Brian tell Jose to relay to Vera that he made it down (that the floor was indeed passable) and that the folks who decided to go up should try to make their way down too?
From the NYT: "We didn't encounter anybody until the 68th floor. We are now in fresh air, lights on, normal conditions. And on the 68th floor we came across JosÀe Marrero [Euro Brokers employee who dies]. JosÀe had taken some of our people down into the 40's and 30's, other witnesses have told me later. And I said, ``Jose, where are you going?'' He was alone, carrying his walkie-talkie. He said, ``I'm going up to help Dave Vera, I can hear him on the walkie-talkie.'' I said, ``I'm getting this man from Fuji Bank out (Stanley was all cut and bruised.) Dave's a big boy. He'll fend for himself. Come on down with us.'' He said, ``No, no, I can help him. I'll be O.K.'' I said, ``Well, all right.'' Of course, we didn't know what was about to happen."
Brian didn't know the towers were gonna collapse, him and Stanley both tried calling home on the 31st floor and called 911 for help for an injured man, Brian even told Stanley to slow down when going down the stairs. He didn't know in the fullness of time the towers were gonna collapse.
You should always go down the fire exit stairs and exit the building and never take an elevator during a fire. Amazing story which there would be many and some untold. I still remember it even 20 years later. I was watching the Channel 10 late news with Sandra Sully in Sydney Australia when this story broke - Apparently a small plane had hit one of the WTC buildings- When they were showing it i was surprised how much damage was done by supposedly a small plane as it was much much more than one would have thought. It wasn't till watching this live footage that my suspicion of it being a larger plane was confirmed when the second plane hit the other building. Even though the Towering Inferno is a movie one could tell it was going to be hard if not impossible to rescue people on the floors above where the planes hit. Those poor people may not have known it or some may have that rescue was impossible and depending on conditions on their particular floor (fire and toxic fumes) where left with two choices as there was no third choice of escape and survive - stay and be consumed by fire/toxic gases or leave the building both of which would result in their deaths. ( i wont say these people that J word- i use they left the building) People also stayed in the buildings with a hope that they could be rescued - would have been harrowing for the 911 dispatches as well to re-assure people they will be okay when more than likely they knew they wouldn't be - one of the callers asking the 911 dispatcher am i going to die repeatedly and possibly the last caller from either of the buildings asking where the rescuers are right up to the time that building collapsed and the phone cut off.
Probably the side where this particular staircase was on the opposite side of the impact. This happened minutes after the plane striked. In another interview of Brian Clark I heard he said that he almost headed towards another staircase in his office floor but he felt someone pushed him towards the further staircase. The whole story is unbelievable! A miracle!
Be grateful to Lord Jesus Christ for giving you a second chance to live and inspired others about how precious life is..there is something to learn in this story...people pay attention what others can lead to dead like the heavy set woman he mentioned here he just didn't want to be rude by saying the fat woman ..that's all..
Can I just say that the security guards in the twin towers are very suspicious during the 1993 bombing it wasn’t as bad but everyone still has escape everybody had to evacuate but on 9/11 a plane hits these buildings in the security guard tells people to stay what if there was another Pakistani man in the twin towers at the time and took out the security guards and went on the intercom and told people to stay where they are so he can ensure more death that’s what I honestly think that what happened because they had no idea they were even Pakistani is in America there who is there not to say that some of them were in the twin towers at the time working with Al-Qaeda I just don’t see any American telling people to go back up when there is a fire number one number to an explosion plus number three and a attack on his belief is that there was no government involvement but there were people inside that were part of Al-Qaeda to help along with ensuring as many deaths as they can and I believe that has something to do with the security guards or the people who were telling them to stay instead of evacuate has something to do without cause it doesn’t make any sense for them to tell them to stay because if you watched the airplane hijackings they tried to make sure that they didn’t know what they were trying to do and also trying to keep everybody calm saying stay where you are keep calm we’re going back to the airport that sounds exactly just like the people that were telling the people on the twin towers to stay where they were
