Mitas E-07+ Enduro Trail Tyres | 11,000 Mile Final Review

- This video is the 11,000 mile review of the Mitas E-07+ Enduro Trail Tyres, fitted to my Honda CB500X, and following a review at 10,000 miles.
A 60/40 (road/trail) dual sport tyre from Mitas was chosen for its apparent good road and trail manners, also being competitively priced.
I’ve decided to record the wear, along with my ongoing thoughts, throughout the life of the tyres and will do so every 1000 miles which at the end should provide a useful overview.
This video will provide a brief assessment of tyre wear and how they are performing and hope this will be useful to those looking at buying the Mitas E-07+ tyres and specifically fitted to the Honda CB500X
It is the final review.

Thanks for doing such an informative review. I prefer listening to people who have used things for at least a year. I’m happy to get the same.
Thanks for watching, pleased the real world review has been useful 👍🏻
Great review!! I've been following the whole series.
Well done
Thanks Gustavo, I’m pleased it was useful to people 👍🏻
Thanks for all the effort in keeping us updated. I've just fitted the same E-07+ on my 500X here in Africa, so let's see how they get on in our conditions. Keep up the great work. Regards from Cape Town.
Really appreciate that, I’m pleased the reviews have been worthwhile and I’d be very interested to see how you get on over time in your part of the world…ps. I’ve subbed your channel 👍🏻
@@thecampingbiker791 Awesome, thanks. Let's see how the get on 😁
Great video. After watching some of your updates on the Mitas EO-7+, I put a set on my 2014 KLR650. I enjoying them so far. Stock size rear tire is a little wide. but they work.
Thanks for watching and hope they work out well for you….it’s all very personal choosing the right tyres and I feel the ongoing reviews have been useful for people which is what was intended..happy riding Bill
Thanks Andrew!
I’ve been following your reviews. Well, after a 6 month wait, my 22 cb500x finally arrived this November past and I have it kitted out the way I wanted. I’m looking forward to my first moto camp coming up in a couple if weeks. Your videos really have me tempted to purchase the Mitas e07+ tires but I figure I’d better run out the stock tires first. Thanks again for your reviews! Mitas ought to give you a free set someday for all of your efforts!
Best Regards,
Peter (from Boston)
Thanks Peter, really appreciate you following these reviews and hope you enjoy the bike.. I managed about 6k out of the original tyres and found them to be perfectly suited for the bike on the road us and light gravel tracks….have fun, all the best Andrew
I also have been watching the on going reviews Andrew, and this review is perfect timing as the OE tyres on my 500X are nearing the end. 12000kms with maybe another 1 or 2000 left in them, it’s time for a change. My service guy recommends the Michelin Anakee Adventure but that might be because that is what he stocks. Another rider here in Australia who has 120,000 k’s on his 500X swears by the Shinko 705’s so decisions, decisions. Of course availability may make the decision for me easy.
A great tyre. I would buy them again.
amazıng review , thank you for effort . gonna buy that tires
Excellent choice, my 2nd pair are wearing just as well 👍🏻
Thanks for the review mate
@@pohui207 pleased it was useful, I’m getting some for my new NX500.. they’re very good!
@@thecampingbiker791 will be picking some up for my 790
@@pohui207 you won’t be disappointed 👍🏻
Good review thx i will certainly buy them. Just one question, what about the pressure i previously had the normal 07 they lost every two weeks some tire pressure. Kind regards Dennis
Hi Dennis, mine haven’t needed air in that timescale…also, I run them at 3.0/2.5 Rear/Front for road use.
Stroke stroke "I really like new tyres" great reviews even with a tyre fetish😁
Even I got bored reviewing them every 1000 miles 😂
That made me smile too. He did it just a bit too long! Great review though 😊
Great miles on those tyres easy on the pocket and so is the 500 cc on fuel I'd say so all round good stuff.
Very good for the type of tyre and the 500X has amazing fuel economy
Great review thanks. Is the E07+ now called the Enduro Trail + or is that something else?? I've used the 50/50 original E07 on a CRF250 but never tried the plusses which seem perfect for the 500x
Yes, MITAS E07+ Enduro Trail is the full name and even has that on the actual tyres… they’re officially a 60/40 tyre and I think this is why they are so good on the road and with the 500x 👍🏻
@@GruppettoBicycle yes, been here in UK a while but do need to hunt for them… I got mine through local tyre shop but Sportsbikeshop stock them and good to deal with. These are 60/40 as opposed to the ones in the article which I think are 70/30?

@@thecampingbiker791 yes agreed - working out the ideal tyre just from Mitas is fun enough - good job there are no other tyre manufacturers to choose from 😂👍
Thanks for another update. I've been riding with TKC80's for years and tbh with nothing like the mileage you are getting there. What I like about the TKC's though is I find it relatively easy to fit/change them myself, which in the field for me is a big deal, but not so sure that is the case with the E- 07's being a harder compound. Realise you have tubeless, but you still may have to remove them at some stage in the field. Atb Wayne
Yep, only downside to these are the hard sidewalls Wayne, fortunately I’ve been quite lucky…so far 😆
I changed the tires Mitas E-07+ at my AfricaTwin by myself for the first time in my life and it took me 1h in total for front and rear. So don’t worry. If I can do it, everyone else can do it. 😅
@@meinekleineweltreise good to hear, the thought of changing tyres frighten me 😂
@@meinekleineweltreise Thanks for the input. i assume you and Andrew both have the standard version. just watched this and it was very interesting especially in conclusion. Cheers Wayne. ua-cam.com/video/-4YZR2MEWCY/v-deo.html
@@potskifilms I’ve visited Pavlin last summer. We had a nice breakfast and chat. Love this guy! And yes you are right, I just use the standard version of Mitas E07+. It’s perfect for me. Made 10tkm in South America on it (5tkm of it were off-road) without any puncture. But as you can see in this video, you can get a puncture everywhere. 😅
What size tyre did you put on your back wheel? My 2022 model has a 160/60 17 as standard but Mitas don’t make this size. Great videos😊
Hi Mark, my 2019 is the same wheel and I had a 150/70/17 fitted which works perfectly well with the bike. Honda dealership fitted the first set after checking suitability with importers so that was good enough for me. There’s very little difference in feel, if anything better on trails, and I prefer this to the original! Cheers for watching 👍🏻
Thank you😊
I got ktm 1290 sas where do you buy the tyres and how much 19 inch front 17 inch rear?
Had my latest fitted at SMD Tyres, Leigh, Wigan Lancashire 01942 604511
Can’t confirm price individually as the bill is just showing a total which was £268 inclusive fitting for my 19&17
Good guys and job well done 👍🏻
Would you use the same tires but in the Dakar version?
Not sure, sometimes you end up sticking to what you know and I’ve been very pleased with these, but never say never
@@thecampingbiker791 tks
Just goes to show how good tubeless tyres are, you would have been left at the side of the road if you had the new Honda Transalp!
My thoughts exactly… transalp looks a good bike but the tubed tyres stops me from considering it!
@@thecampingbiker791 Yup, this fact ruled it right out for me too. Don’t know what Honda where thinking putting tubed tyres on it!
@@divexplore71 keep cost down I suspect but will loose sales because of it I think, although some people won’t even consider the issues
@@thecampingbiker791 Until they get a nail in their tyre in the middle of nowhere with no phone reception and don’t know how to fix it!
@@divexplore71 or it has hard tyre walls and difficult to remove in middle of nowhere…nope, not for me 😂

Parked on a double yellow 😱
I’m just a rebel at heart 😂
oposite direktion on front. ???? wery stupid. that I know that there is an arrow written on them and that it's like normal, but a few years ago everyone put tires "normally" so I stayed in that age of normal
They’re designed that way, supposedly to provide even wear between front and back, and have exceptionally good feel on the road and gravel, although less so in mud!
