    Finally somebody explained rates! Every time I hear someone talk about rates, I ask myself, “Rates of what?” Thank you for explaining!

    Thank you Sir soo much. This is the only fpv video i have watched and it has explained what RATES are especially at 1:00
    . Others all they do is TALK about super high rates, race like Mr steel sooo fast e.t.c which is not good for beginers ! 😊

    Bonjour, your video and comments are clear and very instructive, thanks. I did apply your suggested rates (actual) and downloaded the Avata model and run both of them in liftoff: works very fine. Many thanks as i fly IRL on Avata (normal/sport modes only so far), will help to prepare the Manual transition ....

    These rates are exactly what I've been looking for. I've tried many others, and none give me the confidence that these do. I am very quick with my fingers naturally, so this feels more natural for me.
    I did want to ask though; can you do rolls or flips with these rates? I am too scared to try, but I feel like if you can, then it would be SUPER smooth.
    One last thing.. I don't like the controller "mod"/adjusting the throttle tension, and I find these rates are PERFECT for that. (in case anyone else out there is in the same boat) give these a try fr.

      good :) Yes you can do rolls and flips too but try in a simulator fist!! These rates are more for cruising not for crazy freestyle tricks.

      Sweet! Thanks. I've been using these rates in liftoff as well & I feel like I can do them in real life, but it's just hard to commit, which you have to 100% commit once you start & not spaz out mid flip or roll lol

    I don’t understand why would you keep Center Sensitivity so high. I ve tried insane amount of rates and played with it - I can’t see any benefit of setting Center Sensitivity on anything higher than 10.

    • @stefanorinaldo
      @stefanorinaldo  Рік тому

      Hey, actually I think it's easier for beginners. I tested these rates with some of my friends who started FPV and they feel more control... especially with the DJI Avata because the low center sensibility it's more similar to the feeling of N and S mode (so when you switch to M it's not super sensitive like the default). But if you have confidence with a higher center sensitive it's good 👍👍 higher central sensitivity enhances accuracy in some way.

      @@stefanorinaldo it was more like a question I would love someone to prove me wrong and made me think cos I was really obsessed with rates because I feel like in this industry specifically you should not REALLY start practising until you have your rates entirely figured out and muscle memory set in the right place THEN NEVER TOUCH THEM AGAIN - only fly and practice. I also believe is 100% personal thing and people should try out diffrent rates and configurations but only implement them if they feel right FOR THEM. Copying blindly is imo the worst what you can do. I fly:
      10/750/0.60 roll
      10/900/0.10 pitch
      10/500/0.60 yaw
      50 throttle mid and 0.2 throttle expo.

      Great video by the way.

    Very nicely put together. I have Liftoff and I've been trying different rates - my question is, have you modified the other drone parameters to approximate an Avata? I've been testing rates in Liftoff.. but the same rates feel very different when I'm flying the avata in real life

    • @stefanorinaldo
      @stefanorinaldo  Рік тому

      Thanks!! Drone type and size affect the flight characteristics, on smaller quads you probably prefer higher Center Sensitivity to have more control in small environment. BTW I have 60 350 0.5 on my avatar and feel very good to me, of course it's always a personal preference. Try to change your Center Sensitivity and expo to get your perfect spot.

    Hi thanks for your suggestions on this, I've been looking online fkr one particular question, what is a good gimbal angle for flying in dji avata, I've mastered flying in liftoff with its default flying angle of 30degeees, it is safe to use the same in real world with dji avata

    • @stefanorinaldo
      @stefanorinaldo  Рік тому +1

      Hi, 30 degrees are fine for the avata. You can always change the angle with the wheel. Anyway, try different angles.. Yaw and roll change a little bit at different camera angle. Be aware of this changes is good to learn faster.

    • @Inertia888
      @Inertia888 Рік тому

      I haven't flown the avata, but for camera angle, if I intend on sitting in one spot, to say, film the sunset, or just very slowly drift above the edge of a river, looking at the opposite riverbank, I might use as little as zero degrees camera angle. If I want to just fly fast and not pay much attention to the filming aspect, I will go as high as 50-degrees camera angle. How far forward does the Avata pitch forward, at full throttle, when staying at the same altitude?

    I fly at 800. There's no such thing as cinematic rates. Move your fingers slower if you want your drone to react slower. There's quite a few maneuvers you just cannot do with rates that slow.
