More tutorial videos for the Dukes from Black Square. This one covers the fairly complex are of the Instruments and Radios that feature with the aircraft.
The Turbine and Piston versions of the Duke will be released in early April and there will also be a bundle package available on release where you can save money when buying both together.
The Dukes promise to be the most advanced aircraft yet from Black Square, offering a myriad of amazing features that will truly set it apart from the majority of competing MSFS add-ons. The term Study-level is often misused but certainly not in this case. Full product specs and a selection of screenshots can be found at the product pages, links below. You can also download the manuals and a document that outlines the differences between the two versions from those product pages.

A quick update regarding the release date of the Dukes - Due to the delay of SU15 from Asobo/Microsoft we are also going to need to delay the release of the Dukes unfortunately. Best laid plans and all that. You can read more about the delay and the reasoning here:

So our apologies, we hope to get things moving again just as soon as possible but as things stand we're reliant on news and a firm release date for SU15. Thanks for your patience.
Although the Dukes will be a day 1 purchase, I hope Black Square will copy these same improvements/features over to their other planes (Bonanza, Baron, King Air, Caravan, TBM850)
They've said they are. But no timescale yet.
@@DavidR_192 Thanks. I can wait.
They announced at fsexpo that they will build standalone versions of the analog conversions! This likely means a cost to upgrade or buy completely new, but I would be willing to pay for a well built Caravan, especially a the "standard" non grand caravan version.
But first, the Beechcraft Starship
This is so exciting and it is almost an aviation class, at least for beginners like me
This is why true to life systems in the sim like this are so important. While stick and rudder can’t really be replicated in the sim, checklists, instrument flying, and powerplant management definitely can. All sim products should be made to teach the enthusiast and pilot alike! It sure is a lot cheaper than wet rate and a CFII, and you can’t hurt yourself in the sim!
This is getting more and more incredible! Even the grease in the old instruments getting more viscous in very cold environments is simulated inside this gorgeous cockpit, this makes flights through harsh winter evenings exciting and immersive and realistic unlike never before.
I am especially looking forward to the classic KLN 90B which is a navigation system never simulated in any simulated airplane so far :)
I've used the KLN 90 plenty of times in xplane
@@theflyinggasmaskAnd now you will get that clsssic GPS in photorealistic visual quality :) The simulated cone of confusion above a VOR station and the oscillating VOR2 crosshair (or whatever this instrument is called, I always name it "VOR2") is truly epic. That is navigation at it´s finest!
1:06 Wing42 was ahead of it's time. What a shame the project was abandoned on day 1.
can´t wait to get the hands on it.. Both came to the hangar
Looking better and better woth each glimpse.
Buying this as soon it’s out .
We are just so excited for this amazing release
so glad to hear about the kns81 fully functional, it mean no more limitation to the "hdg" mode to follow our track while using this rnav computer :)
Looks like a buy from me here guys, this is way too cool! I'll be hoping to see this stuff eventually added to your older releases at some point in the future!
"Hail to the King, baby". x)
I hope this level of effort was put into the flight model.
Will there be another update with state saving?
I wonder how would be the B737-200 by BlackSquare?
Please, for the love of God, RELEASE THEM! Here, just take my money. :O
Coming soon? "WHEEEEEEEEN"
Will there be a video on the FM?
Will it be possible to remove the possibility of pressing the autopilot annunciator to control it? I know this fictitious function allows us to avoid using the pedestal's autopilot, but personally I find it takes away a lot of realism.
😍
Is there a risk of any of these high end features causing issues with other aircraft addons??? Or will it stay isolated to just these aircrafts’ files?
These features are only developed for these add-ons specific, the other default and third party addon dont get any of these features
@@noneofyourbusiness5074Ok. Cause I’m having an issue with Carenado aircraft having their sound files mix in with other carenado and few default aircraft. Just wanted to make sure these features wouldn’t bug up and leak to other aircraft or try to cause issues. I’ve been amazed at the things MSFS can have go wrong with it.
Can the needle sticking be simulated into AirManager gauges? I really hope we get Air Manager panels and gauges for these Dukes
Wow this was just what I was thinking
No, this needle filtering will not be shown on Air Manager guages. This is because what we see here are phenomenal visual effects. However, the core MSFS values will remain static as normal. So interfaces like Air Manager will read those stock values, there's no way they can read or interpret the needle filtering.
@@DavidR_192 Wondering if instead of AirManager, Pop Out Manager would allow that if the gauges were made to be popped out. Would not that then have the gauges reading from the addon code?
@@DavidR_192 This is totally incorrect information. Air Manager links to many of the features in the TBM 850 that are not stock like the CDI needle. They can program it however they like. There is no difference between "visual" effects, and any other simulator value.

Flight model video next?
It will be interesting to see the flight model since this is a brand new airplane. The other ones have borrowed flight models.
The TBM 850 isn't a 'borrowed' flight model. And this one like the TBM was developed and designed to mirror the RW counterpart as accurately as possible, within the sim limitations of course. RW Duke pilots have helped and given guidance and they are very happy with how this has turned out. Sure there will be minor tweaks required and no chance we'll please all of the people. Just not possible. :)
There's not a bespoke flight model video scheduled, not exactly sure how that would translate in a video as it's really down to feel but there will be preview videos coming out next week where you'll get the chance to see what some of the most respected FS streamers think of the package as an overall and I'm sure that will have more than enough content covering the flight model/flight dynamics etc.
@@justflightI would think it would be good to show stalls and multi engine flight dynamics being accurate. Single engine etc.
Sorry to keep asking, but will this and your previous modules for MSFS 2020 be compatible for their up coming 2024 new version. Thanks
they will be
@@tubeloobs is this official? Or (respectfully) your best guess 🤞
@@UkDave3856 MS have said virtually all 2020 addons will work in 2024 and everything in the in-sim marketplace will work
@@tubeloobs that’s great news thanks 👍
They also said before 2020 released that it was optimized and would run smoothly and easily on mid tier PCs….
Meanwhile.......
Garmin 1000 ???
No point in a G1000 or any other glass. The Duke is an old bird. In the real world you’re way more likely to see a hodgepodge of glass and steam. Extremely rarely would you see a G1000 put on such a dinosaur of a plane. For guys like me who were flying planes before all this glass technology was even really heard of, well I’m super excited for these dukes. Old school flying. Taking the information from needles and building a mental model, ahhhh that was when pilots were pilots 😉
