I just love 💕 being able to watch this series now, I like it more than anything on t.v. right now. It seems that when John Newland,Rod Serling, Alfred Hitchcock and others stopped writing we lost some of the best writers that ever put pen to paper !! My son bought me the entire set of Twilight Zone for Christmas and I was so glad, the show’s today cannot hold a candle to what was written then. Thank you for putting this on you tube for us to watch again!!! 😎😃😁😎❤️
Hitchcock wasn't a writer, but he did have great taste. Still, I know what you mean. Perhaps it's because the human race, despite our technological advances, is getting dumber and dumber with each generation, from Cro-Magnon times until today. Watch the movie 'Idiocracy' for an explanation of this process. It is a comedy, but that doesn't keep it from being true.
A wonderful actor with a distinctive voice and look. Patrick O‘Neal was much underrated and died too young in his mid 60‘s. America was rich in great character actors back then, stage trained and brilliant!
So often I've dreamed of places I wanted to go. When I was young I used to be able to go there in my thoughts. I think I was actually at the place I was dreaming about. I'm almost 70 now and I wonder how much of my life has been reality and how much has been a reality I created. I don't know the answer and will probably die not knowing how this all works, but I think I'll realize it someday.
I like a lot more about this series than that! I love the way the true stories are presented. This episode is one of my favorites. Who knows where we go when we are “dead” for a few minutes. And he was in the photos too!
LOVE this actor Patrick O’Neal is too bad that he was underrated he was a heck of a good actor he was talented and had great looks to match.RIP Patrick .❤️❤️👍👍🤗
This was a great story, and Patrick O'Neal supplied his usual excellent performance. It's hard to believe this could happen but it did. One of the best episodes of this show ever.

I ALSO have fallen in love with this old TV show. I don't know why, it;s just interesting and I occasionally wondered why it haven't returned as a REIMAGINED program.
And in NYC, we all got to keep Patrick O'Neal, who stopped drinking later in life and became a celebrated restauranteur, GINGER MAN, O'NEAL'S BALLOON. Terrific guy, proudly sober, and a darn good actor here, too!!!
Interesting. I didn't recognize him in this episode, but googling him I recognize him as a familiar character, for me, from the 70s and 80s. I agree he was very good in this episode.
Patrick O'neal owns Ginger Man on 36th? That's wild, never knew it. But much like the protagonist here, I have no memory of visiting many NYC haunts...;-)
I remember being told in culinary school, in NYC, that the restaurant was called O'neal's Balloon because at the time they could not use the word Saloon.
Sounds like one heck of a glitch in The Matrix, or a Mandela Effect that he went through. Of course, they say there is no linear time on the other side. It may be possible that he lived days or weeks during that four minutes when his heart stopped.

Angel Barbela Concierge has the look and a very similar voice of one Ed O Neill. In Married with Children and Modern Family tv series. Serieses. Both. Look and listen to the man behind the desk speak...very carefully. Lol. Remake in 1978....makes sense. 10 years younger than on MWC. IT IS HIM.
duckmangoes I agree. It would lose its "charm" so to speak as to the nostalgic feelings this show creates when watching it today. The black and white filming, the actors from that time, the time period of late 50's, early 60's tv itself, etc.

The place where the girl lives was part of another episode, in which seversl soldiers see a light in the sky at night which makes them have different experiences which causes them to quit fighting. Pernell Roberts was the leader. This set appears near the end when the attorney goes to get them some cognac before they are to be shot and a German soldier walks into the little house, unarmed. He tells the lawyer about German soldiers who also saw the light. The set , however, looked run down, from being in the war.
Identical twins separated at birth given the same name upon adoption. One was there while the other was in a coma. Not an unknown twin phenomena. I had a friend who is an identical. She experienced labor when her twin delivered who had no pain. She simply went to the hospital because she knew her twin was in labor and soon to deliver, no one called her. But this theory doesn't explain the same last name because adoptees acquire their new parents last names, but even that while improbable is not impossible.

One thing that is strange about this story, is that if he did teleport to this Island he had to pay for the hotel he had to pay for food and taking Francesca out on dates that's the part I wonder about.??? If he did have money on him I want to learn the secrets and teleporting money across whatever, I'm going to wish for about half a mil right now in cash.

The idea is very good, but the script editors were extremely confused about the details. Francesca is an Italian name but she speaks Spanish, Alexis is Greek, the policeman speaks with a strong French accent and the guesthouse is called "Hotel du Sud" with all the workers who speak Spanish and look precisely Mexican. What a minestrone.

Met a guy once, Mac we'll call him, who took a huge dose of LSD to avoid getting busted in Boston. Next thing he knows he woke up in a mansion in L.A. A guy knocked on his door and entered and then Mac says, "where the hell am I?" The guy at the door looked amazed and yells "Silent Bob is talking!" Evidently he had been there several months, he knew not how he got there. But the weird part was, he dreamt he went to Vegas or Reno, and won $100 grand. He had $100 grand in his pockets. Yet he had not left that place for months. His friends told him he mainly stuck around the house only going out with them to local sites. Have often wondered if the silent Bob movies were based on him. This occured in the 1960's so it was before those.
This is the one which makes absolute sense. A guy named Miguel was in trouble, he got corrective surgery and faked his death, and tried to restart in another place, tried to pretend to be someone else with the same name and similar look, and trying to tell everyone I'm "nit that Miguel" I'm a different one
Oddly, I used to get the feeling the phone was going to ring with the old rotary phones, but not with cell phones lol ... maybe because back then phone calls were a bigger deal? 🤔
Understanding is over rated. I show up in a vacation spot, the staff treats me like a regular and a beautiful girl falls into my arms....I'm going to start demanding answers?? Not me pallie...
The "teleporter" died in an American hospital during surgery, and was revived after a few minutes, but it left him in a coma for a few weeks... Instead of having his whole life flash before his eyes, (like any "normal" dying person would), he teleported (in the astral plane) instead, to a beautiful island (in a different country) which he had read about before going into surgery. He stays on that island for the few weeks while he is in a coma, and becomes a "regular" at the hotel, and falls in love. Then he suddenly and mysteriously disappears from the island, as he wakes up from his coma in the US. The "teleporter" does not remember his "astral travel" when he has awoken from his coma, but decides to recooperate from his surgery/coma on that very island he had read about before going into surgery. He gets a passport for the very first time in his life, as he has never been outside the US before, and he travels to the very island where he had been "astral travelling" to, while he was in his coma. He "astral travelled" to that island in the first place, because he had read about it before going into surgery. When visiting that island for the first time in his life (in his "awake state"), he discovers that he has "astral travelled" to the same place only a few weeks earlier, while he was in a coma. He sees pictures of himself with the people on that island, proving to him that he has been there in the time while he was in a coma in a US hospital, and he has a vague memory of having been on the island before.
I think the implication was that when he died for that four minutes he was teleported in a way through space and time to that place. Even though in reality he was only gone for 4 minutes, they say that time can be relative when going through certain experiences, as the example stated about how a drowning person can experience their entire lifetime in those mere moments.

Hey Misses... dumbo just sit on d pot and say bloody mary
@@naansophi1111 nice story!
He lost part of his memory, this actually happens to people with head trauma
So I finally see the original
The hotel is called HOTEL DU SUD . THAT S A FRENCH NAME.
Yet we Re on a SPANISH ISLAND
So basically was it a medical situation that he was going through or he was teleported.??
I think the implication was that when he died for that four minutes he was teleported in a way through space and time to that place. Even though in reality he was only gone for 4 minutes, they say that time can be relative when going through certain experiences, as the example stated about how a drowning person can experience their entire lifetime in those mere moments.
Director's screwup! Wearing suit/tie in that place is completely out of character.
The stories getting crazier each one
